I can’t quite believe it myself….but I actually “finished” the army! I say finished, but it isn’t really. I still have some more detail to paint at my leisure, but it’s way further ahead then my Lumineth or Sons of Horus got so far.

Hope you enjoy it, this whole series has been a bit about just experimenting with my personal satisfaction, and I hope my thoughts can help you in some way.

Next few videos starting with Elronds final part, will be a bit more of a straight up tutorial!

Nice ! It's pretty awesome! I have just one question... did you varnished your models? I am curious to know which one did you use and at which step, since you are talking that the "satine" finish is the key? Thanks

Some great advice and thoughts in the video!! It’s amazing how people even judge your work - when some of us can only dream of painting like you.

Wahey! 😄 it loaded that time, thanks Andy

Great! I was really looking forward to this one.

Looks brilliant, honestly took the point of just keeping it simple to actually get it done with a secret santa was putting loads of pressure on, then watched this series and thought no simple and clean and honestly havnt enjoyed painting so much before was really liberating so thanks for the honesty and advice really appreciate.

Killer!!! I knew you had it in you, Andy!!!!! Way to go you LEGEND!!!!!! The shots of the army on the gaming mat look wicked. Definitely be proud of that army!!! I agree on your comments about the pressures out there on people in the hobby, to have perfectly painted armies. I personally think with all the influence of Instagram, etc we are seeing a rise in that pressure.

First off - I love the color scheme! And I have to agree with what you said about the edge highlights - not everything needs it. To me it looks more "cartoony" if every single edge is highlighted. Don´t get me wrong - depending on how and what you are painting it can look really nice but not everything. Just my personal opinion. Awesome work as always Andy!

Martin Morrin

Congratulations on getting it done, and with a bonus unit too!!! I really enjoyed the series and look forward to future Eldar content as well as taking these principles into a new project myself.

Great work Andy, can't believe you ploughed through it so quickly. Is your wraithseer converted or the forgeworld one. Love the spear.

Congratulations Andy on finishing your Eldar army! Your videos have been a huge inspiration for me as I plan on doing an Eldar army in the near future. I love you conversions on both the Farseer and the Autarch/Visarch. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your progress and tips with us.

It's great to hear your thoughts on army projects and how to paint more economically. I really admire your restraint and mental discipline in not going overboard on the troops. I'd definitely like to see a Culture of Paint about the painting "Meta", as many people, including myself, feel a lot of pressure to paint certain things or paint in a particular way. Not every plasma coil has to have OSL, not every cable has to have black and yellow stripes, not all leather has to have tiny scratches etc. Hell, you don't even have to paint eyes if you don't want to.

Congrats on the army! Loved the video and the series as a whole. Your approach of doing less steps, but do them well really resonates with me. I don’t like rushing things or paint bad “on purpose”, but I would like to get things done, too. I remember you said it in other videos as well, for certain details where you only did a basecoat and one highlight, but used a great color and did it well. I remember the blue and light grey on the Lumineth. That really stuck with me. That said, I still struggle with outside pressure, that’s really pressure I build up myself because of stuff I see and I struggle to paint worse than I can. It’s a hard lesson to learn, but needed if I want armies finish in less than a year or so. Thanks for video and words!

Awesome series!! Dont you have problems with oils shadows giving a shiney stain to your bone??
