Hey all,

Bit of a funny video this week. I’ve been preparing a lot of models for tutorials, but haven’t really got tons to show you yet. So this weeks video is just me discussing my future project plans, and basing the Slann. I am back to painting today and you’ll get a painting video next week!

Cheers,

Andy

I just bought the Seraphon box actually so this video has come at the perfect time for me. Wouldn't be mad if we got more of this type of video as well to be honest, always good to get inside the mind of the artist (so to speak)

My prayers have been answered. You're doing the frogman! Now if Henry does a start collecting box of the lizards as well, I'm set...

Happy to see a basing tutorial, more of that please. Also would love some non GW content.

Love these thought process and build videos I’m still batting ideas around for my GD entry whilst waiting for the Aggradon riders to be released, cannot wait to see more videos on this project I think the colour scheme is going to look amazing

Cant wait to see this project unfold! The latest set of videos on the Necron, plus the Elrond/Glutos videos have inspired me to up my game and start painting for competitions. Keep up the great work, lads! I will need it in the coming months and years!

Love the basing on this! It's really fascinating to see your process for picking colours, and how you don't slavishly follow the reference image, but use it as a jumping-off point. How do I subtly discourage you from painting Eldar for GD? Mine will look crap next to yours 😅😜

These process videos are great Andy; it's really interesting and useful to understand how you think about, plan and approach these projects, and there's very little of that kind of content out there so it's also refreshing to get new perspectives. More of this kind of thing is very welcome. I'm still curious to know how, when you sand the Milliput for gap filling, you can tell it's absolutely 100% flush without putting paint on it - do you just do it by eye/ feel, or is there a special technique? Can't wait to see how the project takes shape these GD journey video collections you've been doing are awesome. Cheers!

Corking vid. After being inspired by GD this year it was great to get a glimpse of the though processes and stages before pigment meets plastic. Keep em coming.

Fantastic video Andy! I just signed up for your Patreon since I knew you'd be painting the slann for GD, and it looks like an amazing project to learn from, get inspired by and tag along with! I really like this sort of video. The philosophy behind model, sculpting and colour choices is the most interesting part of painting for me right now. Keep up the good work!

Don't underestimate the worth of this video. It's great to see your process, from reference materials to choosing colours in Photoshop and basing the figure. Fantastic stuff!
