So, yeah, Jake really hadn’t thought things through when he agreed to go meet these snakes. He had just been curious after hearing they seemingly had a skill similar to Palate of the Malefic Viper and went along, not at all considering the implications of that.

While Jake could hide a lot of things with his Shroud of the Primordial, he already knew that he couldn’t hide what snakes felt when they saw him. It didn’t mean that they recognized him as the Chosen of the Malefic Viper right away, just that he somehow shared a deep level of kinship with them, and from the sounds of it, also that it was rather deep.

Denying this connection obviously wouldn’t get him anywhere, and the Archweaver looked at him even more curiously, but somehow not that surprised. Realizing this, Jake suspected that the Arachnec hadn’t just brought Jake to meet these snakes for the fun of it either.

Chances were, the B-grade already suspected Jake had some kind of connection with them, perhaps due to his black scales that, upon looking at these Deathscale Miresnakes, definitely looked a lot like what they had. It wasn’t even out of the question that they had some variant of the Malefic Viper’s Legacy or a divergent evolution of the skill.

Either way, Jake could only try to stay casual as he looked at the Archweaver.

“Would it be a problem to share where I come from?” he asked, seemingly not finding their recognition of kinship odd.

“No, all will inevitably know in time,” the Arachnec said while continuing to observe the interaction carefully.

Jake nodded and turned to look at the Miresnakes. “I’m from beyond the Boundary and have a close personal connection to a snake possessing untold power, and it’s this connection you’re feeling.”

“Oh, Jake, you’re making me blush over here,” Villy decided to be an ass and sent a divine message, quickly cutting off the connection again without giving Jake any chance to respond. The asshole didn’t want to ‘disturb’ Jake’s adventure, after all.

His message did kind of tell Jake that how he wanted to handle this was entirely up to his discretion. If the snake god didn’t want Jake to bring up his name or potentially leverage his title as Chosen, he would have likely said something. Or, Jake was misinterpreting the Viper’s intentions, and if he were, that was entirely Villy’s fault for not being clear, and Jake would take no responsibility for anything.

“A powerful snake?” the Archweaver said, stepping in as he looked curious. “I assume you’re ignorant of the Great Sea Serpent, but it’s one of the most powerful beings of this world, calling the ocean below its home. A peak A-grade existence that all have to respect. Does your designation of this snake you are acquainted with as powerful imply it has surpassed this grade?”

From the Venusians, Jake already knew that no creature from this world – at least not as far as anyone knew – had ever surpassed A-grade. It wasn’t even sure they knew that S-grade came after A-grade, based on how no one called it that, but just vaguely referred to what would come after A-grade.

When the Venusians had asked Jake a similar question before, he had been quite vague, but this time, Jake decided to be a bit more direct as he looked at the Archweaver and nodded.

“So far beyond A-grade that I admittedly do not believe this world is quite ready to comprehend just how powerful this being is,” Jake said, shaking his head.

“I see,” the Archweaver said, Jake not entirely sure if the Arachnec believed him, though he did seem to believe that beings above A-grade existed beyond the Boundary. “Then let us hope we will not have to enter into a conflict and fight such a being.”

Hearing this response, Jake couldn’t help but chuckle as he looked at the B-grade. “No offense, but there wouldn’t be a fight. When I said there are being far beyond A-grade, I mean it. To them, removing the entire Arachnec race from existence would be as simple as waving their hand. This entire world you call home could disappear the moment one of them wanted it to.”

Granted, Jake was definitely trying to scare them a bit, but he was also being totally truthful. If Villy wanted to, he could definitely take the entirety of Venus and implode it into a black hole or some shit if he so desired. To a Primordial, if they went for wide-scale destruction, Jake didn’t even want to imagine how much damage they could cause. Villy, back in the seventh era, had already led to what was effectively the destruction of billions of galaxies, and now he and all the other pinnacle figures of the multiverse were much stronger.

“Imagining a being of such power is proving difficult,” the Archweaver said after a moment’s pause.

“As I said, this world isn’t fully ready to comprehend the existence of such beings,” Jake shrugged. “But if you go beyond the Boundary and make contact with the rest of what exists in what we call the multiverse, you’ll eventually come to know of them. Perhaps even enter their factions at one point.”

Jake could definitely see the Arachnecs become part of the Risen at some point. While their general behavior was very similar to the ectognamorphs of the Endless Empire, they were undead creatures and wouldn’t mesh well with that faction at all. Meanwhile, the Risen were always looking for more to join their fold, and Jake knew there were already several undead factions among them who weren’t technically Risen.

“Excuse me,” the leader of the Deathscale Miresnakes asked, as there was a natural lull in the conversation. “How come we feel a connection with you, simply due to your connection with a powerful snake?”

“Now that’s a bit hard to explain, and would honestly take too long, but it boils down to him being so powerful that all of you are affected by his mere existence, and the connection I have with him is one that provides me with tangible power,” Jake answered, really unsure how to phrase all this.

He could go into a whole spiel on Records, and based on his talks with the Shaman, he believed they did know about Records, though their understanding was definitely limited. The multiverse as a whole still felt it lacked a proper understanding of the intricacies of Records, so it was only understandable that these factions, who had at most A-grades, didn’t stand a chance.

“Tangible power in what form?” the Archweaver asked, unable to hold back his curiosity as Jake felt the B-grade’s power probe him.

“My skills, for one thing,” Jake said as he raised his arm and made some of his scales disappear, much to the shock of the snakes. “These scales are the result of a skill. So is my ability to absorb energy and poison, slowly refining them and gaining an understanding of what I consume in the process. An ability I believe these Miresnakes share.”

The snakes slowly nodded as Jake continued.

“This ability of mine shares Origins with theirs. Even if these skills aren’t exactly the same, the existence of the powerful being behind me has innately affected all skills of snakes, even those they would have been born with naturally in the first place. Which is a given, seeing as he evolved and improved these abilities to become what they are today,” Jake continued, having really decided to share some information now.

Information they would all learn very quickly after one day leaving this Minor World, so it wasn’t as if Jake was sharing anything confidential. It was still quite hard truths to swallow and comprehend, making all of them look deep in thought as they likely also debated whether they could believe him in the first place.

“Do you mind me sealing off the immediate area around us?” Jake asked the Archweaver. The Arachnec looked at Jake suspiciously for a moment before agreeing.

“Very well.”

“Thank you,” Jake said as he summoned a sphere of stable arcane energy around himself, the Archweaver, and the Deathscale Miresnakes. His small display of magic definitely made the Arachnec curious yet again, but before he could say anything, Jake spoke.

“Allow me to channel a small portion of this being’s power,” Jake said as he did something that he had quite frankly wanted to try doing for a long time. He activated Pride of the Malefic Viper alongside Invocation, momentarily channeling the aura of the Malefic Viper himself to such an accurate extent that it had even fooled Artemis for a moment.

The effect was immediate.

Five B-grade Miresnakes seemed to unconsciously lower themselves in reverence, while the Archweaver froze entirely, even his otherwise expressive eyes stopping their movements fully. Jake kept up Pride and Invocation for several seconds before deactivating the skill again, but even after he did so, all six within the barrier remained frozen.

It took them all several moments before they started regaining their composure. Jake didn’t try to press them or anything, but just gave them time as he could only imagine what they were going through mentally right now. These six had all believed that peak A-grades were beings standing at the apex of existence, and even if they believed there was a realm beyond, they couldn’t possibly have imagined gods being a thing.

Jake hadn’t given them a gentle introduction to the aura of gods either. Starting with that of the Malefic Viper was a bit cruel, as even the weakest of gods would have been a mind-shattering shock, much less that of a Primordial. Still, Jake believed this was the best and most effective way to handle things, and based on Villy not protesting, Jake took it as the snake god’s tacit agreement that he was doing fine.

After waiting a bit longer, the Archweaver was the first to speak. “Could such an existence make it here?”

It wasn’t hard to imagine what the Arachnec was thinking. The Archweaver likely feared for the survival of his entire race upon realizing that such beings actually existed in the outside world, and the fact that Jake was there meant there was a way to enter.

“Yes,” Jake simply answered. Sure, gods couldn’t enter the ninety-third universe and thus not access this Minor World currently, but the Arachnec didn’t ask if they could make it there currently, only if they could at all. Which they would one day be able to.

The Archweaver looked in thought for a few moments, having a lot to go through mentally. “This gives us much to consider.”

“If it’s any consolation, then there isn’t a precedent for randomly attacking or slaughtering races or factions discovered,” Jake said, trying to at least soften the blow of this knowledge a little.

“These powerful beings almost live in their own world and don’t interfere with the lives outside of influencing them through something called Blessings. That’s also the nature of my connection with this powerful snake I mentioned,” Jake continued with a small smile. The word Blessing got no response, so at least that confirmed to Jake that no other god knew of this place.

“Is this powerful being now also aware of this place due to your presence?” the Archweaver asked.

“Of course,” Jake shrugged. “He sees and knows everything.”

“Including the entire makeup of this Hive. The barriers hiding the lower layers and all that lies beneath are useless in front of a being like him,” Jake followed up as he sent a telepathic message to the Arachnec.

Having come this far, Jake reckoned he would have to protect himself a little, in case the Arachnecs or others had thoughts to eliminate Jake with the hope of not being discovered by outside forces. He didn’t know if they would actually do this, but Jake didn’t see much harm in letting them know that if their plan was to hide, it was already too late.

True, he did lie a little by saying Villy could see everything, which he really couldn’t, while only watching Jake. His Bloodline could, though, and given the power of the barriers concealing the lower layers of the Hive, the Archweaver would definitely view it as an impossibility that Jake had seen through them using his own power.

“Beyond the Boundary... it sounds like a frightening place,” the leader of the Deathscale Miresnakes muttered.

“Honestly? Less frightening than here, though you may face some diplomatic challenges and issues with differences in norms and whatnot,” Jake shrugged, not seeing that big of a barrier to entry for these creatures to integrate and become part of the wider multiverse.

“As someone close to this powerful snake, would it be possible for you to make introductions?” the Miresnake asked rather boldly in front of the Archweaver, perhaps given courage by the divine aura he’d felt earlier.

“Possibly,” Jake nodded. “Though from the sounds of it, I would like to meet this Sea Serpent you spoke of. Perhaps we can reach some agreement that will extend to the rest of snake-kind within this world.”

The snakes looked at each other for a moment before nodding. “We will certainly bring this back, and hopefully await your arrival.”

“Great,” Jake nodded, feeling like he was doing pretty well if he said so himself. If this Sea Serpent was truly a peak A-grade that had managed to reach that level of power within this world, Jake would certainly want to meet it.

Perhaps even give it a little Blessing of its own.

Honestly, Jake was proud that his strategy of trickle-truthing hadn't blown up in his face yet, and things were seemingly going pretty swimmingly. Really, at this point, what could really go wrong?

“This... is not a good development,” the Oracle said, pacing back and forth within her chambers as the Shaman stood concerned not too far away.

“Would the Arachnecs have...?” the Shaman asked, his concern only growing.

“Doubtful,” the Oracle shook her head. “That human creature was far too powerful for his level and gave off a feeling that he didn’t belong in this world. Archweavers are frighteningly intelligent, so it may have come to suspect he’s from beyond the Boundary quickly.”

“In that case, the Archweaver must have taken him with it,” the Shaman said, now also pacing back and forth.

“It’s equally possible he followed along willingly,” the Oracle said in a grave tone.

“But he is among the living and has killed many of their kin already,” the Shaman protested.

“We do not fully know the norms of the world beyond the Boundary, so their undead status may not be cause for hatred in-of-itself. Moreover, the Arachnecs will not care if he’d slaughtered thousands of their soldiers if he could possibly serve as a way to escape beyond the Boundary,” the Oracle said.

“I’ve already communed with the Circle, and the consensus is clear. This is the first contact with the world beyond the Boundary, and this human will probably serve as the key. If all our predictions are right, the world outside will allow for the rise of a being surpassing A-grade, and if any faction gets such a being, the balance of power will be irrevocably changed. We cannot allow the Arachnecs to be the first with this opportunity,” the Oracle continued in a severe tone.

“Has the decision been made?” the Shaman asked with huge eyes.

“Yes,” the Oracle nodded. “We shall move on the Hive within the day.”

Thanks for the chapter. Poor Jake becoming the root cause of a massive Venusian World War...

C0bra$

Thank u for the story

David Mora

Fire, I think jake is being a great diplomat and it will be fun to meet the big serpent! I hope things don't escalate too bad with the froggies tho

Rick Delallata

Love everyone fighting over Jake. Then he's just going to vanish in the middle of it to go to the Seat of the Exalted Prima

Mr.Spooks

lol Jake really thought it was going well, and now we got a war started from him 😆

Fdrugc

Tftc Villy did say he could easily destroy multiple galaxies in a second or something.

Arrogant Savant

He's emphasised on multiple occasions he has means to escape and leave the minor world, if they have selective memory that's not Jake's fault.

Michael

Yey! Big conflict coming up! Will Jake be stuck in a middle of a war zone between A grade? Will he take a side, or try to keep peace?

Tromero

Oh man looks like I'm gonna need to stack for a bit

Levi Lowry

Thanks for the chapter. Looking forward to what’s next. Hopefully we get a meeting with the great serpent before Jake gets zipped off to the Seat

Cinaeda

lol, once again he's a conduit for Chaos. I love it. I'm very curious what will come of that. fun storyline! thank you.

Rick Delallata

Doesn't make it less hilarious, in fact it makes it more funny

Arrogant Savant

Yup, I mean that in the funniest context possible XD

Xander

TFTC :) Uh oh. Captain Chaos strikes again. Suggested edits: None

Namorat

Honestly, this arc is one of my favourites so far.

Sean McClain

I doubt the boundry will be removed until after the new universe reaches A grade for its top contenders, but Jake could negotiate the mirror world as a b grade hinting ground regulated by A grades there who are regulated by treaty with the Order and Jake (ruler of the galaxy it is located in)

CT

Drums of war. Only to be thwarted by someone scratching their neck and begging miranda to be here

Gracie

tftc🐍

Tercius

Ob boy what a nice train wreck inc xD

Colin

Same!!

Loststar7

Thanks for the chapter. Definitely enjoying this arc.

Steven L

I think jake and giant snake will have peace treaty for all races. Jake will try to make all of venus his allies.

Zach138

I feel like Jake may have started a religion.

Kota

Naturally the Viper sees this trainwreck coming but doesn't warn Jake because it'll be hilarious, right?

J

Oh Jake lol

Tomer Yud

interesting chapter

Tomer Yud

this is what we call a diplomatic disaster lol

Tomer Yud

they wont accept making their home world a hunting ground, what are you talking about. can you imagine making your country a hunting ground?

definitelynotbrjenness

To become stronger you often have destruction or damage before a stronger stability can be obtained. Harbinger of chaos. Jake is about to do to this world what he was created to do to the system multi-verse.

Baged

Without the slightest spark of doubt

definitelynotbrjenness

He's already mobilizing a force of peace keepers to secure the oil...I mean minor world until a peaceful resolution can be made.

definitelynotbrjenness

1800's might disagree. Some will encourage outsiders to hunt their enemies.

BumAssBumAss

Jake's inability to politic is causing a world war.

CallHimDan

This will be a grand scale massacre

djthomp

It was going so well, right up until the point a war started. Maybe Jake can immediately go off with the snakes to meet and bless the big snake and accidentally miss the entire thing.

Rewdan

“Oh, Jake, you’re making me blush over here,” Absolutely hilarious

Dylan Hilliard

I agree. He might even get a title for doing it prior to the world opening up. I also feel Villy is hiding something that every mirror world has or the point of one. Maybe a treasure of sorts. I'm still curious how the size plays a factor.

definitelynotbrjenness

I get the feeling it will go to shit until Jake agrees to take representatives from all the major factions with him and introduce them to the primordial factions. Or the primordials send in a massive army to slow things down. The primordial forces probably have enough influence in 93rd to make an impression on venus.

Sean McClain

For resources not available inside the boundary and for making good connection in preparation for the boundry dropping, yes you would. It would be regulated and the alternative is choatic invasion of B grades hungry for levels.

Alex

Villy has wiped out (along with eversmile) a quarter of an entire universe, when they did something that lead to his wife and child passing. So yeah, it is funny how the arachne seem much smarter than the frogs. Realising that something is so broken that it's not just about getting the first s grade but about alliances way before the frogs do

definitelynotbrjenness

How long before Jake says Villastromoz and causes snake or dragon confusion? Explain snake evolve to dragon, but recently shed his dragon bits to realign his path. Venusian dragons appear and they are offended by the blasphemy.

CocoaBleu

What could possibly go wrong???#FamousLastWords

Colton Horton

I mean, villy had an Order already, so technically he's just spreading the religion? 🤔

Rewdan

True they did say that the snake was the most powerful being

Colton Horton

I can see him blasting full Villy + Primal Hunter aura across everyone fighting, freezing everyone before telling them all to chill TF out...... then disappearing to the system event mid sentence while.everyone thinks he just got suited by one of these powerful God-things....

Cory S.

Jake’s about as subtle as a brick to the face and just as oblivious. He thinks he’s making progress while the world is quickly getting ready to explode into chaos. I love it.

Daniel Wells

Villy is just getting his divine popcorn ready

Dhia

wait a minute, i know the snake races evolves into the dragon races but would a snake that seeks the peak of snakes be comparable to a dragon of the same level? if we equalize everything between the , the only difference is snake or dragon who would win?

Xerecs

I believe he was only able to do that because of the origin records he gets when Jake's uses his origin energy. That it allowed Villy to realign back to his origin.

ALargeClam

Dragon. Dragon records are fundamentally stronger (deeper? More inpotant?) Than basic animals.

IntenseSushi

Tftc “have fun exploring”! - unknowingly starts a war

John Durrett

Tyftc. Oh this is getting so juicy. I can only imagine when Jake said he thought he was doing well at the end, Miranda suddenly sneezed. Then because he may be in a time bubble that compressed time from the outside world, Miranda is suddenly hit with a sneezing attack fit several minutes. Given that they don’t get colds or allergies anymore, she may very well be waiting on first sight of Jake and say “What did you do?!” Hahaha

John Durrett

Until Jake reveals pride again and they suddenly bow to him. No one can withstand the power of a primordial Devine aura, they would bow out fall unconscious

zran

in other words, bussiness as usual for the malefic viper agent of chaos

definitelynotbrjenness

oh...interesting. plays into the harbinger of change/chaos that many think jake is.

zran

he is his chosen, his profet, so makes sense he is spreading his religion

zran

i think they can get out onto the multiverse, just those who are weak b graders, i assume the reason why they believe they cant get out currently is because probably they sent A graders to explore beyond the boundary just to notice they arent going nowhere

zran

unless he end disliking one faction, likely he will try to find a way to create peace between all the factions(or fail and so the viper has new material to use for teasing him)

Kevin Watson

such a nice adventure this has been, it feels like it’s been a while since we’ve gotten an adventure like this. i wonder if it’ll come to its natural conclusion before the event. i have to assume that if Jake manages to reach that sea snake and they’re worthy of a blessing that that would immediately tip the power scale entirely in the favor of snakes and thus Jake/the Order

Kevin Watson

as we’ve seen any creature can potentially match any other creature in the same grade, or even outside of their grade. i suppose if it was entirely even ignoring innate records/power the dragon would win

Arieh Sochaczevski

Thanks for the chapter! Scarlett only felt his connection from his blood, until he actively blasted his blessing. Shroud covered it otherwise.

Arieh Sochaczevski

I don’t think snakes inherently evolve towards dragons, that was a choice Villy made.

John Durrett

Its a possibility, but I don't think he would want to do the Venusian frogs dirty. Should he consider giving a blessing, I do hope that he either gives a matching blessing to Oracle or Gets Pantheon of Life to bless her.

John Durrett

Akin to "Have fun storming the castle"..."It would take a Miracle". ;)

Cory S.

Obviously.

Fylbrom

So basically the Arachnecs are utterly befuddled yet happy they have 'possession' of this new 'resource', the Miresnakes are second guessing their existence and loyalties, and the Venusians are about to start an actual war out of fear from being surpassed by the Arachnecs exploiting thier new 'friend'. Meanwhile, Jake thinks that everything is going swimmingly and sees none of this, despite his ridiculous perception. What a great chapter!

James Drezner

knowing Jake he will somehow convince the Blightfather and Yiggdrasil to bless the Arachnecs and the Venusians respectively, leveling up each faction but keeping the scales balanced.

Sushi

My guess is that Jake is now a whole lot stronger and walked further on the malefic path than when he met scarlet so that snake presence would be more pronounced. Also these people are stronger than scarlet was.

Rahsheem Reid

Well this is becoming a rightful mess, nice job Jake! Never let Jake go on diplomatic missions unless the mission is hunting.

Kota

I don't see why a sufficiently powerful "pure snake" variant (like Scarlett) shouldn't be able to match a True Dragon in power, although such a powerful evolution would be extremely difficult to obtain. I don't think we've ever seen evidence of any race or lifeform in the multiverse ever being capped at a grade of power below others of similar level.

Josie

"My Snake's stronger than your snake" Jake in this playground

ABTelford

Oh no! He said/thought the cursed words! “What could go wrong”. Ba-hahaha!!! Just you wait! World war? Peanuts!

Frosgods

Just wait until Jake somehow changes into diplomatic success while being oblivious to what he's doing

Joken

Can someone please list what records will be gained for: Go to an unknown and unexplored world Get to know some of the unique races on this world Build diplomatic relationships with these races Make allies Threaten some races with utter extinction Cause a world war Benefit?!

Joken

It would be rather funny if everytime he thinks or says that, the pantheon of gods will feel something is going to happen. Like what Valdemar experienced when Jake evolved

Joken

The Venusian Cult of Myriad Races bound to the Malefic Viper

The Dregs

I mean, Villy shed the dragon from his path when he fought Yip, didn’t he?

Dakota gleason

Plus he currently has both palate and scales of the malefic viper active

definitelynotbrjenness

Zog being a meanie and having an ask me anything on reddit while i'm at work. Malefic!!!!

Arieh Sochaczevski

The felt it before he activated those. His being stronger shouldn’t matter with shroud… it’s a divine level skill.

Steven Baggett

Uh oh... Frogs vs Undead Spiders incoming!!

Lemonsqueezy

Thank you Zog for answering so many of my assumption in the previous chapter. Jake can still talk to Villy. He can still replicate Villy's aura. The arachnecs would almost definitely join the Risen faction. These beings have no concept of blessings or gods. Lastly, I can see Jake being the catalyst to unite these two factions and maybe this will be what his boots were talking about.

Lemonsqueezy

Yeah like "oh yeah? well my dad can beat up your dad"

Lemonsqueezy

Definitely stronger. Jake didn't have invocation when he met Scarlett.

Lemonsqueezy

Villy would bless the snakes, Yggdrasil the Venusians, Blightfather the Arachnecs. Each one getting a blessing and balancing the world. All the while Jake would be the catalyst and have them all allied to him.

Lemonsqueezy

I like that. Miranda also gets experience for every alliance Jake forms and she then has to manage or maintain political relationships with. The bigger Jake's empire gets, the more experience Miranda gets.

Lemonsqueezy

They don't have to, but often do. There is no innate thing that makes natural dragons stronger. It is just that they are naturally B-Grade so evolve quickly to match. Other creatures do not have this and evolve more slowly. Villy is an example of this, he was not born a True Dragon. However, when it comes to Villy, he is the entity that set forth the skills and abilities of all reptiles that came after him.

Lemonsqueezy

However, it always turns out good for Jake. Maybe not for others, but always for Jake.

Lemonsqueezy

Probably would have happened in this chapter if Jake fully expressed his aura and invocated Villy on top of it. Jake only gave them a minor taste of his true aura and it made the snakes nearly pass out.

Lemonsqueezy

I am thinking that Jake is going to take one from each faction with him outside the border. I am assuming they will all be B-grades, because dragging 3 A-Grades into the 93rd would be a big mistake since the 93rd is pretty much sitting at B-Grade. Earth would be in trouble if they came and the rest of the multiverse couldn't do anything to stop it because nothing above B-Grade can enter yet.

Lemonsqueezy

He just has a different method to his politics. He does what he wants and just lets the cards fall. It always seems to work out in the end. I am thinking that the message on his boots might be referring to this exact scenario. He needs to unite twin worlds. That could either be the Venusians and the Arachnecs, or Venus and Earth. The later would mean he would have to accomplish the prior first.

Lemonsqueezy

That is exactly what is going to happen. Jake fumbles through and somehow it always works out for him. This is definitely MC energy and a bit of plot armor. However, it could also loop back to my theory that the System is grooming Jake for something and keeping him safe in the process. A lot of system fuckery to give Jake a challenge while keeping him alive.

Lemonsqueezy

Villy loves to see what crazy thing Jake will manage to do next. Villy gets a lot of experience from Jake's accomplishments. So throwing him into situations without telling him anything is just incredibly beneficial to Villy.

Lemonsqueezy

Technically speaking, each faction is a religion. They are groups of people that are aligned under a god and follow the rules and principles of said god. Jake just isn't the prophesizing type, he uses the Order to get what he wants or at least get out of trouble, but doesn't go around preaching to people to join the order. More like "hey, I am part of this faction. If you want to join that is cool, if not that is okay too. I do not care either way, just do not join the Holy Mother or I will kick you out of my galaxy."

Lemonsqueezy

This is what I am expecting. Jake will inevitably bring a truce on Venus and then ally them all with Earth and his empire. This could accomplish what is written on his boots. I don't think they would really have a choice either. They either ally with Jake or they do not leave their minor world. Being labelled as an enemy of Jake is a good way to have your existence ended.

Lemonsqueezy

Ooh this is a unique perspective and good hypothesis. Also can the borders of a minor world actually drop? I though minor worlds were kind of like dungeons where you cannot actually leave if you are from there. At least not without the help of someone from outside the border.

Lemonsqueezy

If you think about it, they either do what Jake says or they never leave the minor world. Jake will eventually be teleported out and then he can just never return, or only return after he reaches A-Grade. Jake has ridiculously powerful escape skills as well as the ability to completely hide himself from anyone finding him.

Josie

If he sees Jasper as family, Jake's gotta see Villy as family by now 🥰

Lemonsqueezy

Well the war was already going on. Just not really an aggressive all out one. Minor skirmishes where they attacked each other. Everyone wants to get their hands on Jake, but ultimately they either do what Jake says or they never get to leave. Pissing of Jake is a good way to end up extinct.

Lemonsqueezy

Oh really, do you have a link to it? I would like to read some of the questions that were asked.

Josie

I love that Villy's fully engaged in all this. And by engaged i mean sitting back with popcorn laughing his scales off lol

Lemonsqueezy

Also thanks for being someone who is so active in chatting with me in these comments. My notifications mention you more than anyone else in either responding to or liking my posts. Sorry I do not like yours back, but I do not do that on any type of social media. I doesn't happen on Patreon, but on things like YT, Reddit, and TT it messes with your algorithm for suggested content. Especially TT, liking someone's comment there will suddenly have you be inodiated with videos related to what they like to watch.

definitelynotbrjenness

admit it, you're skeered as to what liking my posts might make pop up into your algorithm. muhahaha... I don't think zog gave a link. I believe it was in r/litrpg

Perren D'Wolff

why do i feel that the Witches of the Verdant lagoon are watching and taking notes. I mean they wiped out an entire planet with exploding frogs that insulted your hair.

Beckendwarf

“My dad is the CEO of Nintendo” vibes

Nathaniel France

My guess is that rather than unification Jake is basically gonna be like “why waste your time here converting an environment, when there is a faction out there who are all about the death energy.” Which I could see directly aiding his buddy whose name I can’t seem to recall for some reason and Lyra.

Nathaniel France

Oh yeah good point, Jake basically can give a gift to three different factions. Arachnecs join the Risen, Frog Friends join the Pantheon of Life, and snakes join the order.

2026-09-05 04:00 Lol I saw this coming. But I am surprised the Miresnakes are friendly with the undead. Probably due to their ability to absorb the otherwise harmful (un?)death/blight energy. Similar to how Villy doesn’t consider the Undead faction as enemies. This is definitely a very very interesting arc though. Jake playing ambassador for the multiverse. I’m loving his growth here. I feel like earlier on he would have been a lot more reckless with how he handled this. The possibilities of the eventual outcome are varied, I’m sure we all see them in similar ways, from Jake claiming them all to divvying them up to other major multiversal factions to “ooops I killed everything” 😂 I even thought he might be swept away to prima event right as things start to happen and coming back later to deal with the fall out. So I’m wondering how many other insect, reptile, and amphibian types exist on this world. I thought we’d get a deeper look into that… unless war were declared.. Venusians: We attack at Dawn. Me: What was that? Zog: War were declared. (😂 iykyk) But I’m all but certain Sea Serpent daddy will get a blessing. If he’s the forefather of all snake-kin on this planet will that evolve or change the rest of them?🤔 Honestly I could go on 😂but I’m just glad we’re reading this together. You could’ve been anywhere in the world but your not and I appreciate that. 👊🏾😁

Rob Lyon

I definitely see Jake putting a stop to that pretty quickly

beeve

Well thought out response

Benjamin Mages

As Villy once said, all the perception in the world still can't make Jake actually perceptive.

Benjamin Mages

Dragons are innately stronger than a lot of races though; even the weakest of dragons would be objectively considered a talent in most places. Otherwise "Dragonslayer" wouldn't be an actual title as an accomplishment.

Polaris

Villy vacation all inclusive package

Lmao

definitelynotbrjenness

Just finished eating Chipotle and skimming the ama... fans showed up almost none of the negative shit you normally see on reddit from the retards who think perfect prose is more important than an interesting story. zog says he laughs at our ridiculous theories but is slightly annoyed when some one guesses right and claims they inspired him. so start making tons of predictions so we can get more right and use that for cliffhanger revenge!!!!

Josie

Worried if we make an accurate prediction too far in the future a certain author will change it out of malefic spite lol

Daniel

Venus is goated! I want explore this world too. Feels so mysterious.

Michael

Villy doesn’t consider any faction enemies

Michael

More like my dad is your dad’s god!

DefinitelyNotMinaga

TRUE. Oda of one piece pays attention to fan theories and changes narrative accordingly, said so in an interview. If we too accurately predict something we will be hit with it in a diff angle that we didnt predict. Such is the primordial power of Zog and great writers.

Steven L

Like the spider guy siad they dont have a choice becuase he is back by a person more powerful than they can imaging. Plus i think giant sea snake will be Jake biggest fan.

Noah Mclelland

Just mentioning i love your user name and profile pic. Also how about you take inspiration from the comments to design your dungeons.

beeve

I don’t know if I influenced his “journey before destination comment” or if that is just a solid mindset we all took from The Way of Kings.. probably the latter

ZanSanCho

Tftc Zog! "We do not fully know the norms of the world beyond the Boundary, so their undead status may not be cause for hatred in-of-itself." Thats such a nice little touch showing to show the intelligence and wisdom of the Oracle being able to even consider seriously that undead may not be hated by default outside like they are in Venus.

ZanSanCho

Not true. The unknown faction he considers enemies lol

ZanSanCho

That.... explains soooo much actually. Didn't know their algorithm did that

KevB

If TMNT starts slaughtering undead to get to Jake, I wonder if Umbra or the Blightfather will reach out on the Arachnecs' behalf

Biggy smalls

I don't see how they could. They haven't been made aware that Venus World exists.

Biggy smalls

I mean Isn't that whats happening everywhere in the multiverse. Factions struggling to expand their territories everywhere? Thats what the forever war between the Risen and Holy Church is all about. It's like never ending WW1 Trench Warfare in some places.

JW Saxby

😁 Tftc 🍻

Chloe

Love the blessing idea. Don't think a frog war is an awesome idea. Tyftc

Nick Borgne

TYFTC Jakes doing so well diplomatically.
