Kicking his Patron in the face should have really resulted in at least a level or two, but alas, Jake’s foot-tap didn’t result in anything besides making the nosy snake god leave him and Artemis alone.

The two had a lot of catching up to do, and Jake could tell she’d been at least a little worried, having known about his escapades in the Minor World. He really hadn’t thought about it enough, but it was probably the most dangerous circumstances Jake had ever put himself in.

There were beings who could have killed him without any real effort surrounding him constantly, and all without the deterrence of the Malefic Viper existing out there. At least they didn’t fully realize there was supposed to be this deterrence, meaning the only thing that kept Jake alive was his usefulness.

With the help of Villy to get the Great Sea Serpent on board, it shouldn’t be as dangerous the next time Jake went back there, but he still felt reluctant to do so after processing everything. It would be a waste to just ignore the Minor World until Jake was strong enough to fully claim it, though.

Either way, the topic of the Minor World was soon shelved as attention turned toward the Seat of the Exalted Prima. Well, okay, first it turned toward Artemis, but afterward it was the World Event as he and the Godqueen discussed the upcoming event.

The half-a-day wait quickly passed, and soon enough, the Administrator Candidate Test concluded, and the multiverse found itself blessed with many new Administrators. As expected, right as the other system event came to an end, it was finally time for Jake to take the stage, as the next round was immediately announced.

Chief Administrator Selection for the Milky Way Galaxy Seat of the Exalted Prima shall commence in one hour, during which the sole Chief Administrator of the galaxy will be selected from all qualified Administrators. As of this moment, access has been granted to all qualified Administrators.

To enter the Seat of the Exalted Prima, all Administrators must use their Administrator’s Seal. Administrators can enter during the next hour, after which access will be locked until a Chief Administrator has been successfully selected.

Further details will follow once the Chief Administrator Selection commences.

Time to enter: 59:59

Jake read through the system message quickly, and by the time he had, Artemis was clearly also aware of all the message's contents as she looked at him.

“As we expected,” she said in a calm voice.

“Yep,” Jake nodded. “Only an hour to enter, though. Pretty strict. What if I were busy fighting something or in the middle of some long alchemy experiment? Not very respectful of other people's time.”

“You knew when the other event would end, and honestly, I don’t think the system has any interest in operating in an accommodating fashion with events like these,” Artemis chuckled. “It’s already plenty generous that you can seemingly enter from anywhere, not just planets in the given galaxy.”

“Hey, I’m just complaining to complain over here,” Jake defended himself, not really feeling in that much of a rush to instantly enter the event. He reckoned once he did, he would just be hanging out in some lobby waiting for things to start. Though maybe he would at least be there with Miranda and the others, giving him some insight into the kind of event they’d just experienced.

“And I’m just pointing out the flaw in your words for the fun of it,” Artemis shrugged with a teasing smile. “Now get up and get dressed already. What would you have done if the system had just teleported you directly there?”

“Hopefully impressed a few people,” Jake answered with a sly grin as he leaned back in the bed, not feeling particularly inclined to rush out of his birthday suit. Artemis had already gotten dressed as she sat on a chair beside the bed, looking at him judgmentally.

“I doubt they still find your silliness impressive at this point,” Artemis didn’t take the bait. “Miranda truly has my condolences, having to handle the mess you leave behind.”

“You’ve spoken to her?” Jake asked curiously, wondering if the two had properly met. Sure, they’d been in the same space together before, but they’d never really had a private conversation as far as Jake knew. At least not any that would make the two particularly friendly with one another for any reason outside of their mutual acquaintances.

“Briefly, when she was under the tutelage of the Verdant Sisters, whom I’ve had plenty of interactions with,” Artemis said as the Godqueen gave him another teasing smile. “She thanked me, you know.”

Jake threw her a questioning gaze, as he knew she was going to tell him no matter what.

“After learning about the two of us, and having confirmed I’m not particularly open to the idea, her Patrons have left her alone regarding turning her into your mistress,” Artemis said with a smile. “Meaning they now have to fully lean into making her the best manager of your life rather than a romantic partner. Something she definitely seemed to appreciate.”

“Ah, damn, really?” Jake asked with an exaggerated sigh. “And here I was hoping to make her the second wife.”

“Easy there, talking about second wives when you haven’t even fully locked down the first one yet,” Artemis shook her head. “In any case, she seems competent and worth keeping around. The woman has a solid implicit understanding of who you are and what you want, something that’s hard to come by. She also strikes me as loyal,  yet not a total sycophant, something that is scarce for a Chosen.”

“She definitely isn’t scared to call out my bullshit,” Jake chuckled as he looked at the ceiling. After another moment, he let out a sigh and jumped out of bed, already fully dressed before his feet touched the ground, courtesy of the wondrous system fuckery and the nature of equipment.

“I guess I should get going,” Jake said, cracking his neck and stretching a bit. “No idea how long this event will be or what it entails, but I’ll see you around when I get back.”

“I’ll try to make time,” Artemis said, still feeling a teasing mood before turning more serious. “Do be careful during the event. Even if it’s related to simulations, which should mean it’s not dangerous in the traditional sense, that doesn’t mean there can’t be hidden dangers. There might be risks associated with Records, or maybe even being stuck in the simulation or something akin to that.”

Jake nodded, not wanting to downplay anything.

“And do make sure to actually get that Chief Administrator Promotion,” a third person joined the conversation as Villy decided to teleport directly to the doorway leading into the bedroom. “Would be a tragedy if you fail to qualify for further competition with the other geniuses of the multiverse. I reckon they’ll also find themselves disappointed if the feared Chosen of the Malefic Viper can’t even manage to compete against them. Though I guess their higher-ups will be happy with the lack of competition.”

“You know, I was never good at getting promotions,” Jake shot back with a sigh. “Promotions tended to mean more responsibility, and my wage was already fine, so I didn’t care about the raise. I just wanted a chill job to get by while living a decent life.”

“Great, and now you kill dragons for a living and work as my Chosen, I think the avoiding promotions train has long left the station,” Villy answered with a shrug. “What’s adding one little Chief Administrator title to everything else?”

“I’m really not allowed to just complain for the sake of complaining, am I?” Jake muttered, with the two gods both giving gazes that very much let him know the answer to that one.

“Fine... I’m off unless there’s anything else,” Jake sighed.

“Try not to break anything!” Villy said with a smile and a wave.

“Try to ensure whatever you break turns out beneficial to you,” Artemis followed up, and with a slight chuckle, Jake activated his ring and was whisked away by the system.

Jake’s vision shifted, and soon he found himself standing in a familiar space. Familiar in a not very good way.

“This place, huh,” Jake muttered as he looked up and saw the many stars above. This was the place where he’d first met Ell’Hakan and had his emotions fucked with for the very first time. If not for his Bloodline shaking him awake, he would have ended up revealing things back then that he really shouldn’t have.

“Lord Thayne,” a voice spoke from behind, making Jake turn around.

“The great Voice of the One,” Jake said in a slightly teasing voice as Kindroth, the only other surviving person who’d been promoted to Administrator directly following the Prima Guardian event.

“Please, I don’t go by that anymore,” the high elf waved him off. “Rather embarrassing even recalling that moniker, even if it was tremendously useful for a time.”

“Finally pawned off all responsibility to that council of yours?” Jake asked, wondering if Kindroth had finally realized the supreme power of delegation. For the elf’s sake, Jake hoped he had, as trying to manage the most populated planet in the galaxy couldn’t be easy.

“A lot of it, sure, but I’m still in charge of all multiversal politics,” Kindroth answered with a smile. “Something I wouldn’t give up even if I could.”

“Wouldn’t exactly fit your agenda either, now would it?” Jake asked in a rather curt voice, getting a knowing smile in response.

“We all have our own Paths and ways of survival. I just hope for peaceful coexistence and strong diplomacy whenever possible,” the elf answered politely, not addressing what Jake was hinting at.

Jake still didn’t like that Kindroth was effectively an “in” for the Holy Church in his galaxy, but he also knew the logic of keeping enemies close and all that. He’d default to Miranda’s judgment with things like that, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t display his dissatisfaction.

“Whatever floats your boat,” Jake shrugged. “Now let’s go where all the others are sitting around.”

Upon appearing in what Jake recalled was named the Administrator’s Terrace, his sphere had immediately picked up the entire space station as well as the people already waiting there. Kindroth and Jake had appeared towards the edge, while in the center, all the people Jake assumed had passed the Administrator Test were waiting. And there were quite a few more than Jake had expected there to be. He counted just around five hundred people, including a few familiar World Leaders and whatnot from the Prima Guardian event. Of course, all the truly noteworthy figures of the galaxy besides Miranda and her party were gone, conquering their own galaxies across the universe.

“I’ll follow along,” Kindroth nodded as Jake started walking towards the others. It didn’t escape Jake that the high elf was purposefully walking several steps behind, almost as if to show everyone that Jake was in charge. Not that Jake would show that he noticed. Besides, he was too busy wondering about something else.

With Sphere of Perception, he could see the entire space station and the area immediately surrounding the station, but he also released a Pulse, which revealed something rather perplexing.

About five hundred kilometers from the edge of the space station, in what appeared to be a perfectly spherical manner, the entire world ceased to exist. It was pure void, as far as Jake could tell, with not a single fragment of anything there.

Yet, when he looked through the glass above, he could clearly see far into the distance. Jake concluded that meant one of two things. One, the Seat of the Exalted Prima was surrounded by a void-like barrier, keeping it separated from everything else in the universe until whatever time the system decided to remove the barrier.

Or two... the Seat of the Exalted Prima didn’t actually exist within the Milky Way Galaxy, but was just made to look like it potentially could be placed there. All the system messages and whatnot made it sound as if the Seat was placed within the galaxy, but it was entirely possible it was still in some “fake” system space and would only actually appear in the galaxy once the system decided to place it there.

Not that it mattered what was up with the Seat, as the objective remained the same no matter the case. He was to claim this entire space station, and hopefully, none of the people he and Kindroth were heading towards would be stupid enough to try to get in his way.

Passing through the trees, they soon reached the open area in the middle of the Administrator’s Terrace, where Miranda and everyone else were waiting. It was rather normal to carry some furniture around in spatial storage, so everyone had proper seating arrangements, with Miranda sitting towards the center, currently speaking with two other women Jake didn’t recognize.

There was a lot of chatter going on, and the place had a very casual atmosphere. Until Jake’s arrival was noticed, that is.

After someone noticed Jake’s approach, everyone quieted down, and when Jake revealed himself by entering the open clearing, it was dead silent, with all the Administrators present standing up respectfully. Even Miranda and the others from her party stood up, probably mostly not to stand out.

Feeling all eyes on him, Jake couldn’t help but feel how he really hadn’t missed this while in the Minor World. Sure, people were curious about him there, but he wasn’t met with everyone’s gazes of fear, admiration, and sometimes even worship whenever he entered an area. It could really get tiring.

“You two made it here,” Miranda said, stepping forward and bowing slightly, having to show a respectful attitude in front of so many influential figures of the galaxy. “I take it all has been well in the last three months and a bit?”

“At least nothing major has happened, as most of the multiverse is focused on this event,” Jake answered, trying to ignore all the people looking at him as best as possible. “How about things here? What kind of test did you experience, and may anything useful be gleaned from it?”

“Without knowing the nature of the Chief Administrator Selection, I cannot give a definite answer, but through discussion, we do believe we have a solid grasp on the goal of the testing we went through,” Miranda answered.

Feeling that quite a speech was coming, Jake took out a chair of his own while also motioning for Miranda to sit down alongside him. Hopefully, that could also help lighten the mood a little and make the next forty or so minutes less tense than they had to be.

“Pray tell,” Jake said as he leaned forward.

“Very well. Let me start with what these tests entailed...”

Miranda gave a quick rundown of the stages of the Administrator Test, leaving Jake a little miffed about missing out on them. While it was a sentiment he doubted many shared, Jake would have loved to experience the Tutorial again, if for nothing else but the opportunity to face the King of the Forest in another fight. Also just to see how the hell the system would handle all the bullshit that went on during his Tutorial. Alas, it seemed he’d missed the opportunity.

Regarding the other tests, Jake didn’t have many thoughts, and when Miranda shared the common conclusion on the purpose of these tests, he could only nod along, as it did seem like a good answer.

As for the purpose of these tests that everyone seemed to tentatively agree on?

To teach the Administrators to differentiate between a simulated world and the real one. Something Jake very much doubted he would have any problems with, given that the last time “he” experienced being part of a “perfect” simulation, Sim-Jake was born.

If they were right, the Chief Administrator Selection was likely to also be simulation-based in some way, giving Jake hope that his plan of improving Eternal Shadow wasn’t a far-fetched goal for this system event.

TYFTC. Hope the house move is going well. It's a stressful time of life no matter how many times you've done it. Can't wait to see what these next few chapters entail.

I take it that since we are back up and running, Zogarth is feeling better and the move went as well as it could when you fall a bit ill.

Not gonna lie. I was hoping for more of a response from Villy about the boot to the face. Oh well. Glad to have a new chapter to read. Thank you

Chance Haggerty

Nothing about the great and terrible doomfoot ? Damn I was really hoping for a good lvl or title for kicking his patron god in the face I figured that was a very heretical thing to do! And I hope the move wasn’t too bad for you thank you for the chapter

Bonktrauma

About 15 paragraphs in "already gotten dressed as she saw on a chair.." I believe this is a typo?

djthomp

An upgrade to Eternal Shadow would be a cool outcome of this event, hopefully it's not just politics time for the next however many days until Jake wants to die.

C0bra$

Thank u for the story

Michael Fannon

The system awarding him with a title forever naming him as doomfoot would have been great. Alas, it did not happen

Kristopher Hanson

Because he has the best boots in the multiverse on silly.

Morazain

Yo Dawg. We heard you like Jake with your Jakes, so we put more Jake in your Jakes... or was it Jokes?

hocusfire

Hopefully an upgrade to eternal shadow will be similar to limbo ability from madara

granndfunk

Okay, everyone, serious question. If you're Zog, and after telling a mover you wrote a book series, what do you tell him after he asks what it's about?

Borbino the great

He’ll get one for killing a god with it while in s grade😂

Ra

If you're Zog, you don't tell the mover you wrote a book.

UNKNOWN

Makes sense, the multiverse would explode before those boots received any kind of damage.

Yiskah

"Kicking his Patron" After a week of no chapters, opening like that feels... Personal... Hope your move went well Zogarth!

Raymond Whitehead

I see it closer to how the powers work in Shadow of Mordor, but any upgrade is interesting to see

Daniel Hamilton

I was hoping we were going to get a back log of the chapters from last week. Hopefully the move went well. I know it can be stressful

granndfunk

"Let me ask you something - how do you feel about mushrooms?"

Daniel Hamilton

This is pretty funny, everyone else is focused on the seat. Jake is just focused on training and upgrading a skill.

Fdrugc

Tftc

GenZVall

Alright Zogarth, hear me out. What if you had Jake fight a simulated version of himself to the death? The reason behind the fight (outside of it being a system event/requirement/test, etc)? This Enemy Sim Jake uses a crossbow 😂

Meadow

Which, if Miranda is correct, makes Jake exactly what the event is looking for

KenTX325

Or bring back sim Jake with new skills.

KenTX325

He already fought Sim Jake for 40 years.

thkiwow

that sim Jake is evil and likes mushrooms

Quinn

Thank you

GenZVall

Yes, but that was training. A Sim Jake that uses a crossbow would make Jake fully blood lusted and would turn this into a fight to the death lol. Plus, if this fight is a simulated reality like OG Sim Jake’s origin, then this hypothetical enemy Sim Jake could not only be equal to Real Jake stat wise (or perhaps even slightly superior for added difficulty), but have his own entire and original skills and way of fighting, especially considering this would be a B-Grade Sim Jake. Bonus comedy points if, as pointed out by someone else here, on top of the offense of using a crossbow, this enemy Sim-Jake also LIKES mushrooms lol

Booz Dowg

Villy's parting comment should be "Dont do anything I wouldn't do..."

John Durrett

Perception, it does a body good!

John Durrett

Yep. Should be “sat” on a chair. Was going to post it if someone else hadn’t.

John Durrett

Tyftc. Btw reintegrating that Artemis sat on a chair not saw on a chair

definitelynotbrjenness

it's a fantasy tale about a guy who uses a bow. fully expecting the person to immediately recognize the brilliance of using a bow.

Devin Trero

Am I the only person that had to go back and read the previous chapter again? I didn't remember Jake kicking the Viper and with that opening had to go back to reread

Colton Horton

Even worse. Make a SOCIABLE Sim Jake, that is outgoing and enjoys being around people. If he wins and becomes the "Real Jake" he'll go out into the multiverse and start acting like a typical chosen. Lol

Samuel Jones

Piling onto the blasphemous ideas we have here, make Evil Sim-Jake buddies with the orange fuck

Samuel Jones

Love seeing you back Zog, but my OCD totally isn't upset that Friday chapters might not be ending in 5 or 0 anymore, lol

Gracie

tftc😈🌌

GenZVall

Oh I’m loving all these ideas. How about making “Evil” Sim-Jake also have a harem? 😂

GenZVall

Oh, what kind of Profession should Evil Sim Jake have?

Rewdan

Hey Zogarth I hope the move went well. Thanks for the chapter great way to start the week

TheCommensuratePup

I love the idea we see like 10 different jakes all deciding their favorite thing is the best thing. "Nah, magic is best." "No, obviously stealth is best" "No battle axes is where it is at"

Devin Trero

Lol. Yeah. I dont know how I didnt remember the return of Doomfoot

BumAssBumAss

I'm interested in the path sim-jake would've taken post tutorial. I've always believed Jake had a lightning affinity, especially since Jake's destructive arcane affinity is described is like lightning.

atome 4 000

2 things, After his experience in the minor world I would see Jake pushing Eternal shadow to be a form of a sudo clone. And we've seen a lot of simulated past, but we haven't seen a simulated futur yet, and I don't see why that wouldn't be possible.

Jip

Chosen prophet of the holy mother

definitelynotbrjenness

I hope for at least a few days delay for the milky way where kindroth talks people into sparring with jake or jake spends his time doing alchemy and then hands out a billion credits worth of potions for free. either way, I want it from the perspective of people that don't know jake. expectations vs reality

tigerfishie

Tyftc! So excited to see Kindroth and Miranda in the same vicinity again

granndfunk

"Oh, like Hunger Games?" "...yeah"

definitelynotbrjenness

anybody think jake is screwing this event up as bad as he did Venus? no upgrades, no supplies for alchemy. Basically, i'm here. give me my trophy. time for special boy to get a big fat L.

Lemonsqueezy

Welcome back Zog. I hope you are feeling better and your move went well. Thank you for the chapter.

Brian Schutt

Would check since Sim-Jake used lightning.

UNKNOWN

Behold an impossible past. Behold an unthinkable present. Behold a fathomable future.

UNKNOWN

Though we all know that bows outclass them all in terms of quality. Hopefully no Jake even THOUGHT of using a crossbow.

UNKNOWN

This Jake also has wisdom as his highest stat. Not perception.

Lemonsqueezy

It was already foretold that Jake would win the title without any competition. The rest of the multiverse already concluded that the Milky Way belongs to Jake and the Order. It is why none of the other powerful warriors from Earth are elsewhere. I am sure Zog has something up his sleeve to give Jake some competition, probably some sort of backstabbing. I think the real competition will come when all the Galaxies compete with each other for the world wonder. As of now, this part of the event is going to be quite uneventful.

Joken

#1 Did Artemis really put some pressure on him to tie the knot? Did she just tease him or is she moving to get socially inapt Jake to move his butt? #2 Updating eternal shadow, wouldn’t that mean he would unlock the rarity above mythical and would that not lead to another major title? And if I remember, did Villy not recommend he should meditate on some concepts to get some skills updated to above mythical? Would he be able to reach the Gate of Enlightenment during a simulation?

Jeryd Greer

Tftc. I hope the move is progressing well.

Lemonsqueezy

This is the competition for the Milky Way seat, which is already guaranteed to be taken by Jake. Unless Zog throws some sort of wrench into it, I expect it to be rather uneventful. I am going to assume there is a phase three of the event where the Chief Administrators compete for the world wonder. That is when we will definitely see more action where some of the contestants believe that they can beat Jake only to have severely underestimated him.

Lemonsqueezy

There were a lot of mentions of other affinites Jake could have gotten, but he ultimately created his own. He actually declined a few of them.

Lemonsqueezy

That would be funny. I have that meme of the different Spidermans all pointing at each other in my head.

Lemonsqueezy

TBF to you, it was the last sentence of the chapter.

Lemonsqueezy

He mentioned on Discord that he got very sick and wasn't writing anything.

Daniel Hamilton

Well hopefully he’s all good. No fun being sick.

definitelynotbrjenness

yes, I know this is the group from the milky way and jake will win this one. it's the next step where jake deserves to lose because of his lack of preparation.

definitelynotbrjenness

i'm assuming they are going from here to the competition to see who gets control, although it is kind of silly to think a B grade is going to be handed a world wonder

ABTelford

A little literary critique: the first several paragraphs are a summary of information like one might find at the start of a new book in a multi book series. But if it’s not at the start of a new book then such a summary is annoying as F because the reader very very recently read exactly what you’re summarizing. I bring this up because you’ve been doing it frequently in your writing recently. I do the same when I first sit down to write and I’m trying to get into the groove, but then I cross out the “reflection/passive voice” section and chose when the writing turns to active voice for when that chapter really starts. I do enjoy reading your chapters, you’ve got skill, but even the best writers can fall into a slump and/or make mistakes. One of my favorite series, The Wheel of Time, I hate book 8 and most of book 9 because it’s lots of words and very little happening. Turns out the author had a deadline and didn’t get a chance to edit and par down his draft before publication. The result - 1000+ pages that should have been only 400 or less. Anyways. I hope the move is going well! And if you need a week or two off I’ll still be waiting to happily read the next chapter.

ABTelford

I agree it would be fun to see a chapter or section from someone else’s perspective. Or maybe Miranda as she essentially sits back eating popcorn as she watches the Jake show. Lol

definitelynotbrjenness

lol.. miranda egging on kindroth to keep bringing people over to meet jake. my thing is with miranda and others as back up, jake would be a perfect "leader" for a lot of people. but I doubt if many realize that yet.

Tristin S Alderson

#1 she would want to wait till he hit at least S grade first cause of how the Records work. #2 he would have to get the rarity without any Divinity otherwise it would be Sacred rarity which already gave a title but knowing Jake that is probably gonna happen

Joken

#1 I think getting married does not affect the records. They are supposed to wait with babies until later, that’s how I understood it.

Vega

Thanks for the chapter. Hope you’re feeling better this week.

Nathaniel Coats

TFTC. Another note: I'd love to see Artemis and Jake's relationship under the pressure of Jake screwing up or needing to give up his firstborn in order to progress or survive. He screws up alot but something with permanent consequences for his relationships has not really come up yet. We know artemis wants his first born, but putting that in jeopardy would be interesting.

Episode 19

Tyftc, hope you feel well and had a smooth moving day

Daniel

Jake has been whining a lot. I just wish he could offer some substantive dialogue.

Episode 19

I think this is a typo: “Hopefully impressed a few people,” Jake answered with a sly grin as he leaned back in the bed, not feeling particularly inclined to rush out of his birthday suit. Artemis had already gotten dressed as she SAW on a chair beside the bed, looking at him judgmentally. I hope she didn’t saw it, I think it’s meant to say sat

UNKNOWN

Jake's bloodline really would be overpowered for Puma-checks... PUMAS?! WHERE?!

Daniel

Nope, I prefer a happy couple. F the drama, keep it fictional.

Nathaniel Coats

I agree, but it gives them in arc to overcome something together. I guess it's a chance to explore how a relationship on that scale would work, especially with jealous factions. It could even be a small subplot that gets resolved quickly, like the minor world.

Biggy smalls

That be against the bloodline accords? You can’t force somebody to do that. I don’t see why Jake would ever accept that as a bargaining chip. He may never run into another place like this Venus world that would even dare to make that the price for his life. I don’t see there ever being a wedge in their relationship. She’s too powerful and well connected to be used as blackmail against him either (her safety).

Biggy smalls

When they get married doesn’t matter. I could see them get hitched in A grade and then have a kid together in S grade. The records only matter when it comes to baby making.

Biggy smalls

No. I can only see him losing the next phase if multiple pinnacle and elite characters from other galaxies work together to bring Jake down. But then Jake has his own connections so even that scenario seems unlikely in the long run.

Joken

I wouldn’t be surprised if Artemis, his plus1 to the demon wedding, will somehow catch the brides flower bouquet or whatever the equivalent demon wedding thing is. Don’t know how the multiverse works that way but it would be a HELL lot of fun.

definitelynotbrjenness

mystery faction kills artemis and child. we get to see jake and villy go wild before they figure out how to bring both families back. could tie in the system multiverse being a simulation controlled by mystery faction.

Tristan

You failed your puma check it was in the comments section

definitelynotbrjenness

Venus is one of the last worlds destroyed by villy when he went on a rampage. there is a big hunk of villy meat at the bottom of the ocean.

Nathaniel Coats

Well, they don't know that he and Artemis are a thing yet. Also, there has never been a rule against coercion. Also, if Jake really needs something that may help him ascend or do something that is important to his path. I think it must be something Jake can absolutely not turn down if he wants to do something important. Basically, his path or his first child.

Levi Lowry

That last bit makes no sense at all to me. Sure there’s a secret faction we’ve seen that but it’s not surprising considering how big the multiverse is and that there are still world wonders and places that villy or anyone else haven’t fully explored because it’s beyond them

Nathaniel Coats

I think you’re taking it too literally. It’s more of a concept than something that’s supposed to fully make sense right now. The “unknown faction” is basically just a placeholder—an empty box the author can fill in later and develop in a way that does make sense within the story. It’s not meant to be strictly unknown forever, just something that leaves room for expansion. Also, it doesn’t even have to be a brand new faction. It could easily be one we already know about we just don’t understand their motive yet, which is something the author can build into over time. And there are already threads pointing in that direction. The biggest one is Artemis saying she wants his firstborn—that’s literally one of the only clear, concrete things she’s asked for from Jake so far. If that ends up being threatened or interfered with, that alone could justify it becoming a nice subplot where their relationship can expand and grow. So it’s less random than it seems—it’s more like the groundwork is already there, it just hasn’t been fully connected yet.

Jacob (EverythingRoy)

Imagine a second Sim jake that develops yet another broken skill, stolen from either an entirely different god like Valdemar or just another from Umbra lol

Bobo

Welcome back! Tfc

Jason Smith

I'm guessing Jake is gonna learn to simulate a universe in his soul space, laying the foundations for a divine realm two grades ahead of schedule

DefinitelyNotMinaga

UGH! System please nerf this human before its too late xC I'm struggling with labyrinths as it is!

Jared Bell

Tftc Also, finally getting some sim-Jake/eternal shadow upgrade or evolution in function is long due. Glad to see it’s starting off in early B grade!

Xander

TFTC :) welcome back everyone :) Suggested edits: "will be selected ** amongst all qualified Administrators" missing word "from" "*To enter the Seat of the Exalted Prima,* all Administrators must use their Administrator’s Seal to enter." Redundant phrasing. Ditch everything before the comma or ditch the "to enter" from the end. " Artemis was clearly also aware of all its contents" how is Artemis aware of its contents? This isnt so much an edit as a request for clarification. "make the next forty *to* so minutes less tense" should be "or"

Fyrtue

That's an interesting thought. I doubt it's to the scale of a full universe because even Yggdrasil isn't there yet but it might be to the level of a world if things go that route.

Fyrtue

#1 No comment. #2 An upgrade doesn't necessarily increase the grade. We've seen this in his MV legacy skills a bit but the range of what is considered a legendary or mythical skill at higher grades allows for upgrades to stay the same raroty at times.

Chance Haggerty

That would be awesome but we have a couple hundred years of adventures before s grade

A lot of life’s best feedback is in this format; ‘you’re doing something I used to do and decided was a mistake. I’m pointing it out so you can skip the time it took me to notice it and so I can let you know how I fixed it. If you don’t agree it’s a mistake, that’s cool.’
