Jake could only take his hat off in respect for the valiant heroes of the Holy Church who so selflessly sacrificed themselves to allow his escape. Truly honorable people who totally had a choice in the matter, as they uselessly struggled to defend themselves against the quite frankly overpowered Magi.

He hadn’t even made his way to ground level before all the members of the Holy Church were slaughtered, not even managing to land a single counterattack. Not that it would have done much, as the Magi seemed to constantly be surrounded by a field reminiscent of Pride that gave him control over all environmental mana within a few kilometers of his massive body. It took little more than a thought to summon a barrier to defend himself, and Jake’s only method to stop him momentarily had been Primal Gaze, and that sure hadn’t felt nice. Even now, he could barely see anything, and he knew that should he try to use it again, his eyes would likely explode right out of his eye sockets.

After the Magi had killed the members of the Holy Church, he naturally didn’t get his staff back. The group did drop some items, including all the stolen goods they’d taken from the stores, which at least gave the cyclops pause as he inspected them. If Jake had to guess, he would say that the residents of the Inner City thought all Administrators were on the same side, given how they operated in the same way, and how nobody dared to fight others while surrounded by the giant natives all around them.

This likely contributed to the Magi’s hesitation, buying Jake a few more seconds before the high-tier B-grade started searching his surroundings again, starting with the house Jake’s Eternal Shadow had dispersed within. Chances were the Magi guessed Jake was still somewhere nearby, which also explained why he proceeded to seal off the entire building.

Once it was sealed, the cyclops started making his way from room to room, simply walking through them while looking straight ahead. Jake, who was still trying to reach ground level of the building opposite the one the Magi was searching, wondered why the high-tier B-grade was doing what he did, but soon he understood.

That’s his only way to search for me.

Likely for balance reasons, the Magi didn’t have any potent detection magic, meaning he had to rely on the passive field around him to search every room. In other words, he had to physically move around and make it cover every corner of the building if he wanted to spot someone like Jake with a powerful stealth skill.

The cyclops having to search in such a time-consuming way meant Jake quite easily reached the ground and rushed towards one of the grates leading into the sewers. Jake originally hadn’t intended to ever go through the sewers, as it was obviously slower than traveling above ground, but it was definitely the safest place, as the cyclopes seemed to never search there.

Once in the sewers, Jake finally let out a sigh of relief as he nevertheless kept an eye on the Magi, who was soon done searching the house. Once finished, he frowned, looking angry, but eventually, he seemed to give up. The Magi lifted his hand, summoning a magic circle beneath himself that instantly teleported him straight back to his residence, as far as Jake could tell.

At least it felt to be in the direction of the residence; he couldn’t fully tell, though. The escape function of Wings had a tendency to leave him a little disoriented, and plus, only three seconds after the Magi teleported away, Jake felt his Hunter’s Mark be snuffed out, making him momentarily pause again.

Was it noticed?

Jake had gone with the assumption that none of these high-tier B-grades could detect his Hunter’s Mark; however, it appeared he was wrong. At least he believed he was wrong. It was also possible the Magi had used some all-purpose cleansing spell on himself or something, but it was equally possible that his Mark had been detected and eliminated.

One thing was for sure: Jake didn’t want to encounter that Magi again if he could at all avoid it. If not for the escape function of Wings and his quick use of Eternal Shadow, Jake would have been in for a very bad time. Fighting the Magi wouldn’t be a matter of winning, but only a question of how long Jake could keep up. Escape without Wings also didn’t seem possible, given the sealing barriers the high-tier B-grade could so casually summon.

Shaking his head, Jake tried to shrug off the thoughts of what he would do if the Magi discovered him again. He would just have to avoid that happening. Instead, he switched his focus to something more positive.

While it had been a very risky home invasion, given the owner of the house, he had come away with quite the haul, and now that he was alone, hidden away in a damp sewer, he finally took out his loot.

The staff appeared in his hand, the perfect size for him to wield. It remained a simple-looking weapon that was just a slightly fancy wooden stick, and it didn’t even radiate any obvious power. However, when touching it, Jake felt the immense amount of energy stored within, and when he used Identify... yeah, it was even better than expected, and his risk had definitely been rewarded in abundance.

Pun intended.

[Abundant Staff of the Magi (Unique)] – A staff created by the Emperor of Abundance to be wielded by the great Cyclops Magi, one of the eight Great Guardians of the Inner City. Now, its power belongs to you. Can be instantly converted into 250,000 Prima Credits or used within the Palace of Abundance for even greater rewards. Additionally, the staff can be consumed, granting you the Abundant Blessing of the Magi, massively increasing mental stats and magical prowess for a limited amount of time.Requirements: Soulbound. Will be forcibly converted into Prima Credits should you leave the Central Domain.

This item was different from anything Jake had come across prior, and was by far the best item he’d ever seen, going by all aspects of it. Just starting with the Prima Credits it gave was insane. 250,000 was more than ten times the second-best treasure Jake had found in this system event, and several times better than the best Golden Flower he’d obtained.

That wasn’t even its main function, though, but just the pity reward one would get if they didn’t turn it into more points within the Palace of Abundance. Assuming one even wanted to turn it into points in the first place, given the final function it had.

Standing there with the staff, Jake felt it would take little effort to activate this Abundant Blessing of the Magi, and he even got a good feeling of what it would entail, courtesy of innate knowledge granted by the system. He couldn’t fully tell, but what he did know was that consuming it would lead to an immense rush of power, and perhaps equally important... There wouldn’t even be a period of weakness afterward or any backlash of any kind.

Something that entirely broke the rules of the system.

Large sudden increases in power, especially those not coming in the form of a boosting skill, but in the form of external help, always had disastrous consequences. It was a simple rule to which Jake had yet to see an exception. However, this item entirely broke that rule, and the only explanation Jake could see was the setting.

This was a simulation. Rules were somewhat allowed to be broken here, since it wasn’t the real world. With death not being a true consequence, the system seemed more lax and willing to bend its rules, allowing objects like this, which upset the balance of power, to exist.

Of course, given the extremely high level of difficulty required to obtain the staff, Jake doubted there were many similar treasures in the World of the Exalted Prima. Still, it was a factor Jake had to consider.

For now, he put the staff away, with no intention of consuming an item that could only be used once for no damn reason. Perhaps he wouldn’t ever have to consume it, but it was a nice trump card to have available. The only sad thing was that he couldn’t bring it outside the Central Domain and use it to conquer a powerful Territory, but oh well, hopefully it could be used to gain something even better in the Palace of Abundance. Worst case, it would give him a shitload of Prima Credits, and he doubted Miranda would complain about that.

Turning his attention elsewhere, Jake did a final scan of his surroundings, contemplating his next plans. He considered exploring the sewers a little, but after getting a good look and noticing how many people were already down there, he found the notion exhausting.

Thus, after not thinking too long, Jake made his way back topside and looked towards the Palace of Abundance in the distance. Jake had only teleported a bit over ten thousand kilometers using Wings, as he assumed that if the Magi could follow him that far, the cyclops could have followed him anywhere. Plus, the less distance he traveled, the less time Wings would remain unavailable.

Limiting his travel distance also meant he hadn’t lost too much progress, though it would still take a while to get back, as he couldn’t travel at full speed through the city, especially not now. He could go faster than the last time, though, as Jake really didn’t find the prospect of robbing local stores at all appealing anymore.

Instead, he took to the rooftops once more and focused all his attention on getting to the Palace of Abundance, not intending to take any unnecessary risks on the way, as he had to wait for Wings of the Malefic Viper to be ready again in case he had to escape.

Hopefully, he wouldn’t get caught up in anything, as the Administrators were even more numerous than Jake had initially expected. With the size of the Inner City, one would expect it to be relatively rare to spot others, yet he saw over a hundred within his current Pulse range, making him guess there had to be at least tens of thousands in the Inner City already. Even that was a very conservative estimate.

I guess it does make sense, there is an entire universe of galaxies which could have Seats of the Exalted Prima, Jake thought, not intending to interact with anyone for the foreseeable future as he began his travel towards the Palace of Abundance, not intending to make any stops along the way before locating this so-called Gate of Abundance that would grant entrance to the Palace itself.

--

“This entire place is clearly discriminating against us non-sneaks,” the Runemaiden complained loudly, only able to do so due to her location. “Relegating us all to the sewers like this. Why do I feel like it’s some kind of social commentary by that damn Exalted Prima about how we belong in the gutter?”

“I fear the Runemaiden is reading a bit too much into it,” the Demon Lord chuckled, nevertheless looking like he found Carmen’s words amusing.

“I’m telling you right now, if the Palace of Abundance is also a forced stealth mission, I’m definitely getting a thirty-day vacation from this damn simulation,” Carmen continued her complaints.

“I fear you may not be the only one suffering from such a fate if the Palace remains hostile to our Paths,” the third member leading their small group said with a light smile, her golden eyes scanning the path ahead as the nasty atmosphere seemed to passively avoid her, as if not to affect her royal appearance.

“You’re just sad you can’t be in dragon form, though actually, there would totally be space for it in this oversized sewer,” Carmen said half-jokingly, not actually wanting the golden dragon to enter her true form, as that would make things a little too cramped in places.

Plus, they were traveling off to the side of the sewers along a narrow path, with a large river of sewage running right next to them. Then again, calling the path narrow felt wrong, seeing as it was still over a hundred meters wide; it was just that, compared to the several-kilometer-wide river, it did appear narrow.

The three of them had met up shortly after entering the sewers, forming quite an odd group who belonged to three very different factions. Carmen from Valhal, the Demon Prince from the Nine Hells, and Aishalstromoz from the Regalflight. All of them were already aware of each other due to the Nevermore Leaderboards, where they all had respectable positions, with the Demon Prince standing out, effectively having the number two spot after Jake kicked Ell’Hakan’s head in and blew up his planet.

Behind these three unlikely allies were more than fifty other Administrators who were following them at a respectful distance. Somehow, they’d become leaders of a ragtag group of mostly unaffiliated administrators who didn’t have any bigger factions to seek out, and after a few had joined, others just started joining, assuming it was some kind of commune.

Carmen didn’t particularly care as long as they didn’t get in the way, and fortunately, in these sewers, they didn’t have to worry about cyclopes randomly appearing and yelling for help to summon overpowered B-grades. Aisha had already reported how a Blademaven had appeared after some Administrators had made too much trouble topside, and she’d had to escape into the sewers herself, barely getting out alive.

The three of them had briefly discussed the option of fighting one of these cyclops elites if it came down to it, and the conclusion was that it would be stupid to throw their lives away for no reason. These high-tier B-grades were clearly not designed to be beaten, and Carmen felt bad for anyone who caught their ire.

“Got another one approaching,” Aisha said, looking towards the river of sewage.

“I really don’t wanna punch any of those things again,” Carmen remembered the last time she tore one apart and how she smelled like shit for half an hour afterward, no matter how much she tried to clean herself off.

“Fine,” Aisha shrugged, as Carmen also spotted the movement down the river as a creature came riding the current towards them. A few seconds later, an ugly as fuck hairy fishlike creature with long spindly arms emerged from the river and jumped straight towards them, as the golden dragon gave it a glance.

“Searing Claw.”

With her words, the ugly B-grade was blasted towards the back wall of the sewers as a large burning dragon claw emerged from nowhere and slammed into it, pinning it to the wall. The creature let out an ear-splitting shriek as Aisha raised her hand and started clenching, the giant burning dragon claw closing around and crushing the B-grade in response.

It tried to escape, but with a final push, the entire creature was crushed into paste, sending smelly and already rotting flesh and blood flying everywhere, but fortunately, Aisha had killed it far enough away so that none of it hit them.

“Admittedly, I would also prefer you didn’t get that viscera all over you again,” Aisha said in a joking tone as the flaming claw in the distance faded away, leaving only a black burning print where it had crushed the B-grade hairy fish.

“I am so looking forward to getting out of this place,” Carmen sighed, giving the dragon another look. She still didn’t fully understand how the magic of this golden dragon worked, but it was clearly pretty damn strong, given she had effortlessly disposed of anything she decided to attack. Hell, it had even allowed her to escape a Blademaven.

“Oh, I do concur with that statement,” the Demon Prince said, still in a chuckling move, looking ahead of them. “How about we head straight for the Palace of Abundance and ignore all these side rooms with treasures? I’m getting the feeling that delaying too long will result in a worse outcome than missing out on some treasures.”

“Anything to get out of this hellscape,” Carmen said, before correcting herself a little. “No offense, I’m sure the Hells are actually way nicer than this place.”

“Some of them are way worse,” the Demon Prince said, shaking his head. “Though certainly the scent tends to be better. Assuming you like the smell of burning flesh, that is.”

“At this point, I’m willing to take anything other than this,” Carmen muttered as she was wholly on board with rushing forward and getting to the Palace of Abundance sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the chapter

Seems everyone is going to meet up again at the Palace. Wonder how much of a cluster fuck that will turn out to be?

Mitha

Well now I imagine the gigantic turds these cyclopses release. And flush down in the sewers. Yes, not a pleasant image.

definitelynotbrjenness

Hopefully a massive one. However, I wouldn't hate a wonder that provides the maximum rewards if they work together and in 12,000 chapters we realize it was the beginning of the arc where the system exposes its purpose and begins building towards everybody having to prepare for.., the enemy that will come.

UNKNOWN

Only 12,000 chapters is much a much smaller number than I expected.

Bruno Daxo

In a universe of possible species, it would be funny to see a Cyclops administrator who finds the whole situation very racist.

Steven Myer

Do we you think after they blow up the palace, Carmen is going to put the moves on Jake again or that she ain't no Valhalla-back gurrl?

djthomp

I've been wondering how the fight difficulties will eventually work once they get into the Palace considering how strong the gate guardian type cyclopses have been, but with the reveal of that buff the staff can provide I bet that's the answer. Either steal more weapons from the eight Great Guardians or maybe there'll be more items inside the Palace with that kind of buff. Carmen, the Demon Prince, and Aisha are a fun trio to have fallen in with each other. In particular it's nice to finally get to see some of what Aisha can do.

Daniel

I don’t get why they are walking and not running, flying, or something. The distance is too large for just walking, they will never make it out of there at a walking pace.

Jasper

While I think it would be cool to see 8 people use the buffs from these items to beat some final boss together I don't think that's what's gonna happen. Wasn't the main draw of this arc that all the powerhouses can fight to the death without worrying about actually killing each other? Sharpen themselves against their peers in a safe environment? I would be bummed if this arc didn't end with all the powerhouses killing each other and us seeing a bunch of duels/battles.

zran

Eh... I doubt many others will dare steal the other elite cicoples weapons unless they are individuals called jasper or sandie

C0bra$

Thank u for the story

Miotara

8 weapons made by the emperor, that's interesting. If I remember right, every statuette had a weapon and different objects. I'm betting the weapons correspond to the 8 weapons those high b grades hold so my guess would be those statuettes are keys that require all the objects the statuettes hold including the weapon from the high b-grades. From what I remember Jake doesn't have a statuette holding a staff (was it the Sword Saint holding that one?). He liked the one with the bow, even though he said he wants to go straight to the palace of abundance I'm betting he will definitely attempt to steal the bow if he sees it

zran

We know he ended up getting more of those statues later on(tho they werrent mentioned what they did holded on their hands)

zran

Could be funny if at the end of the event the system shows publicly what each administrator did and hiw much points each thing did gave, with leaving people shocked when its jake turn and it shows "obtained abundant magi wand" and everyone is like wat, it was that even posible?! Or, wow... What a mad lad the chosen

Patryk

Serious question, is perception a magical stat? I have a hard time seeing it a physical one, but it seems quite different from the pure magical ones too.

James Durowse

Honestly been a it confused so far this arc that people aren’t constantly killing anyone that would be easy prey, these 50 with the trio would each grant a hefty number of prima credits immediately to their faction that could then be used while all the powerful people are occupied, and so the only decision that makes strategic sense is wipe out the weak ones and not get into draining fights with the other powerhouses, it would grant more per kill than the treasures we have seen and there are 50 just there and thousands more around that would take 0 effort. Jake not doing it is semi excusable as his path is fighting superior opponents, but even then he is in direct competition with all these people, highly competitive, has incentive to strengthen his territory and it would literally take no effort for him this entire time to snipe people as he wondered around, and would make sense for his character as well. In general I am liking the arc a lot but all powerful people making the same exact decision to not gain these easy advantages doesn’t hold much water imo

Rewdan

Thanks Zogarth loving the seat of the exalted prima

Pacer

I'm not sure. But it could be physical. Just not pre-system physics. Jake learned he could see the entire World-tree when visiting their faction. Even though light would have taken hundreds of thousands of years pre-system. But now post-system light moves kinda instantaneously..?

Pacer

That would be a cool way to implement it. Maybe there are vault doors, each with a giant statue in the palace. If you bring the statue and all items it holds, the vault opens.

Daniel

Is that walking though? I remember in C grade flying was all the rage, but in B grade we walking? It’s weird.

Pacer

Yea, Jake will have unbolted the throne by the time they get out of the sewers/

Noah Sterling

Considering Jake's relationship is a fairly closely guarded secret that few actually know, I can see her flirting/coming on to him, him politely refusing, her thinking he is joking at first only to get a "I'm serious" glare, then respectfully backing off. Think similar to after Nevermore when she thought he was joking about checking out the archery range first.

Pacer

Cyclops: Finally, some representation! Hey, what the heck..

Borbino the great

I was wondering about that I don’t remember if Jake ever talked to her about being in a relationship and I’m pretty sure I remember Artemis saying she was chill with the rune maiden especially since she’s not a god but I could be crazy

Bookreader97

I kinda forget that Jake blew up El Hakkens planet lol. No wonder everyone is so afraid of him

Michael

Jasper could probably steal Magi’s pants, without him noticing

Noah Sterling

We have only been given a conversation with Miera, but from that and his talk with Villy about Artemis' proposed arrangement I got the impression he had no intention of taking her up on that offer. She left it out there for him because he is mortal, and she understands that he doesnt yet have the same perspective as a god. Besides, we have seen that even when he has a literal Goddess "at his disposal" he will still spend 3 years sequestered away in his own little projects, so I dont think he is so touch starved he cant wait until he has a chance to go back to the order to see her.

Noah Sterling

Jake has 3 statues that we know of. One we dont know what it holds. One has 2 flowers and 6 weapons, one of which is a bow. Last one has 5 flowers, 2 cubes, and a sword.

Gracie

ABTelford

Thanks for the enjoyable read!

Joken

I didn’t know cyclops’s could be lactose intolerant

Steven Myer

I'm not surprised, Cyclops are known for only being able to see things from one point of view....😉 I'll see myself out.

Coramoor

Jasper is totally going to steal this Magi Emperor's crown off his head without him noticing, dude is literally built for this event

Kirk

Finally someone sees this! I’m guessing they need all 8 items to complete each statue to nerf each corresponding 8 Magi, Maven, etc to get to the Abundant Emperor/Final boss. This would require all of the administrators to work together to complete all 8 statues. Or kill each other off lol. It may take all of them to finish off the emperor, maybe a 25 person raid group?🤷‍♂️ I also wonder if Jake’s Magi got another staff when he returned home so others could steal one? 🤔

Johnny

*relegate over delegate, maybe a typo just FYI

Piper

I think a cyclone might make the sewers worse actually, but it's a nice thought

Clint

I could see Jake assembling a super team to take down some kind of boss in the Palace. But I’m definitely expecting a bunch of duels with different elites, often with a “loser swears vassalage” kind of thing until there’s one team strong enough to win the event outright. Particularly excited at the possibility of Jake publicly using a bit of Jake Juice(TM) to win a particularly hard duel.

Murigi

Chekhov’s staff

Markus Kerr

Anyone else notice that the Cerulean Devil has been having *slight* instinctual tendencies since meeting with Jake?

UNKNOWN

The cyclops don't eat corn though......

Miotara

There have been a few treasures so far whose description says the administrators can either claim straight for a certain amount of points or keep and get more rewards in the palace of abundance. I think those particular treasures might be stuff that correspond to objects the statues are holding

Xander

The difference lies between seeing and Perception. Seeing is just using your eyes. Perception is your ability to make out details in the world around you more broadly. It allows you to glean subtle differences in energy flows, slight differences in movement, changes to soul shapes, all sorts of things visible and invisible. On Jakes evolution to C Grade he was capable of perceiving problems with the energy flow in his bee ritual that were unnoticable before because he had so much higher perception.

David Storey

Doubt author would be that cliche.

Daniel Hamilton

So there are seven other staff to chase down?

Xander

TFTC :) Small retro fix. Ch. 1320 " "Perhaps the Venusians *are* Arachnecs *now*" should be "Perhaps the Venusians or Arachnecs know" Suggested edits: " and over twenty times better than the best Golden Flower he’d obtained." Didnt Jake get the 9 leafed flower with Jasper getting the 10 leafed? The 9 leafed was worth ~65k which is more like 1/4 of this. From that the staff would need to be worth 1.4M credits to be >20x From Ch.1365 "Within the trial world, there had indeed been a ten-leafed flower one could claim, but everyone else who passed the trial would also get the flower they originally touched to enter, all of which Jake assumed to be nine-leafed. " [Nine-Leafed Golden Flower of Abundance (Unique)] – A Golden Flower with nine leaves found within the Palace of Abundance gardens. Can be instantly converted into 65,610 Prima Credits or used within the Palace of Abundance for even greater rewards. "which could have Seats of the Exalted *Primas*, " should be "Prima". Many seats, one Exalted Prima. “*Delegating* us all to the sewers like this." should be "Relegating" "the demon lord chuckled" not a specific mistake but the demon prince chuckles like 3 times in this short section and Aisha gets one too. Maybe they could smirk, grin, snicker, or smile instead. "Plus, they were *walking* off to the side of the sewers" why are they walking? Everyones a B grade and weve seen everyone able to fly just from pure energy control since D grade at least. Walking the 1000s of km to the palace through sewers will take decades. Perhaps "moving" instead "at a *respectable* distance. " from context should be "respectful" "randomly *appearing* and yelling for overpowered B-grades *to appear*." repetitive. Ditch the second. "leaving only a black *burning* print where" should be "burned" since it already happened right?

definitelynotbrjenness

i didn't think dogs did either until a few years ago I walked up to a porch and saw an enormous turd with corn in it.

definitelynotbrjenness

100% serious and logical theory of the day: Duskleaf is "the one that got away" from the velvet mistress (Irin's boss)

definitelynotbrjenness

jake checks his statues and sees he needs a staff and ... a crossbow.

definitelynotbrjenness

chekhov's statues. being honest, there was once a time I thought this was a reference to star trek and meant sort of the opposite/same as in you never saw chekov's gun because he was never going to use it.

definitelynotbrjenness

could be they are just fattening them up (giving them more time to gather shit) before killing them.

DefinitelyNotMinaga

What if all 8 guardians weapons of the inner city were collected by one person? Like the weapons Jake fused together during the treasure hunt these also cannot exit the central location without losing their current state. The fusion could only occur in Yalsten, so it would be cool if these also had a secret reward inside the Palace if all 8 are collected.

definitelynotbrjenness

Interesting. I would make them merge into a gun or crossbow and be the only way to injure the cyclops king. Tough decision for jake.

Peter Smith

It occurs to me guys, that Jake follows the modern heroic tropes as well. He gets a special ability that nobody else has, he is considered an outcast in the beginning of the story, and most importantly he gets an animal friend in the first handful of chapters... Villy!

Corvid

Yeah, but like... Jake is the poke'mon in this scenario.

Corvid

It's how you summon Caaaaptain Cyyyyclopseeeee

Corvid

Honestly, at this point, Jake's storage item is just Chekhov's Bling of Unfulfilled Promises

Patryk

Actually, did Sandy use any obvious references to Pokémon when spitting out Jake/Jasper/Caleb/Sword Saint?

Secret Weapons

Jasper cannot be outdone by Jake. Jake saw his hat and raised him a Staff? Jasper needs to steal the Blademaven's sword AND his undies lol

Zogarth

Fixed stuff. And no for the last one, flames still linger and all that.

DefinitelyNotMinaga

Merge them into a big blue mushroom and whack people in the face with it.

DefinitelyNotMinaga

That could be the case if the other guardians were MAGI. I assume the others are different variants with varied weapons based on their "class" or name. Oh and Zog never misses a chance to crap on crossbows xD

DefinitelyNotMinaga

Jasper could steal the Declaration of Independence from Nicholas Cage.

DefinitelyNotMinaga

If intelligence stats increase your mana pool wouldnt that stat be magical?

Cory S.

In the wise words of Jake Thayne, “That was bad and you should feel bad”.

j km

My theory is that the 8 items translate to the external rewards. Basically you take the staff and either use it within or turn its power into a % title for int/wis.

Dave

😃

Gh0st-Hunt3r

Here's my prediction, I agree with the statement J KM Made that the 8 items could Represent external rewards, it's probably more like for each of the 8 [Unique] Items (Because i don't want to assume there all weapons) Probably unlock UNIQUE Areas in the Palace of abundance with Amazing treasures, and the "Consume" Function of the staff means that each Item has a CONSUME function as well and since there is 0 Backlash I believe if one person gets all 8 items they can consume ALL items for a Boost to ALL stats at the same time to make it possible to fight the EMPEROR OF ABUNDANCE Level 490 Or some such BOSS like that for a much bigger reward. Also they'll get an % Title like [Master Of Abundance] and possibly what needs to be done to Claim the Chief Administrator Seat of the Exalted Prima> That's my theory anyways! 😁

Parker Bond

I really hope that Jake teams up with Jasper, Sandy, the Sword Saint, and Caleb and together they get the other 7 weapons using Caleb and SS to hide their actions/slow time, Jasper to steal it, and Sandy to escape. Or at minimum Jake needs to also steal the bow and sword and use them to level up his existing weapons somehow.

Parker Bond

Waiting for the lifetime of 93 universes before revealing what people need to prepare for is playing quite the long game.

Parker Bond

Hopefully this will be like in some of the Zelda games where stealing those 8 weapons and 9 flowers beforehand will make it easier(or more likely just better rewards if you succeed). It would be hilarious if it causes some S grade to appear and insta kill everyone in the simulation and they have to start over again in 30 days, but this time work together to get all the flowers and weapons to succeed.

Parker Bond

I'm hoping he steals at least the bow and sword and uses them to either permanently enhance his current weapons, or as a 1 time powerup, to defeat the emperor of abundance

Parker Bond

It wouldn't surprise me if the individual items(or some combination of them) can be used as keys to unlock certain vaults full of treasure or maybe a single powerful item that can be taken out of the simulation

Parker Bond

Early on PvE will grant more rewards, and cooperating will allow more loot to be in the total pool. Later on, especially for hostile factions, we'll probably see more PvP. That being said the only 1 person in the whole event who should think he has a chance at winning every single possible 1 on 1 PvP is Jake, and he seems much more interested in PvE right now. Now if someone steals the 250,000 credit bow and it can be used to upgrade a real life bow maybe then Jake would want to duel/fight PvP for it.

Aerlevsedi

It would not be the first time. Jake's tutorial did give a bonus based on how many survived, even though a bunch thought it was the other way around.

TurtleDuv22

Was anybody else expecting poo elemental? I was… I was expecting pop elemental.

Kt-x

Thanks for the chapter
