Some of you may have seen my ping on Discord yesterday, but I am going to say it here too. A family member is in the hospital, and things aren’t looking good. Chances are, she won’t make it. I quite honestly haven’t had the mindset to be writing, so there is no chapter today. I can’t even say when the next one will be as I don’t think I can produce anything anyone wants to read right now. I wanted to write yesterday when I got back from the hospital, but I couldn’t get anything down. I couldn’t even sleep.

I don’t like sharing private details, and I honestly don’t feel like I owe it to anyone, but I still feel like I want to give the bare minimum. The one in the hospital is my grandmother. She is 96 and has lived a long life. Still doesn’t make the situation not shit.

Today also coincides with the day my book 6 releases on Amazon, and while it feels weird as fuck, I also feel like I at least need to point it out, as I am not the only one relying on my books doing well, and I wouldn’t find it fair to punish my publisher or even myself by not even mentioning it. My heart goes out to you. Regardless of a long or fulfilling life led, losing someone dear to you always fucking sucks. Not that you need our permission, but take whatever time you need, be with your family, and share memories of the good times. Doesn't really make it hurt less, but at least hurt isn't all that's there.

Big yikes... Sorry to hear I hope the prognozis will be proven wrong but in either case please take your time, your mental health is one of the highest prorioty. I sometimes joke about it being for selfish reasons like if your not well we won't get chappy's but I feel like now even in jest it would be a low blow. So please Zogarth take your time, and if means anything to you know that I'll pray for her well being or here peaceful passing.

My 93 year old grandmother died last month and it was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. It's been more than a month now and I still feel like I'm going to wake up from a bad dream and she's going to be here again.

Thanks for the update, and sorry. Sometimes life just kicks you in the jewls. I recently went through my grandmother passing away and your correct. Just because they are old doesn't make it better. I was lucky and got to spend a week with her saying goodbye prior to the hospital. Still sucks. So take some time, work is work, always more of it.

Look I went through something similar with my own grandmother back in 2019. I can empathize with you and I’ll say it’s best to take as much time as you need. Family comes first and if you need time to yourself I suggest you take things at your own pace.

When you do grace us with your incredible storytelling again, be it tomorrow or 80 era's from now, I'd recommend a side story chapter, maybe about villy slaughtering the 8th, might break up the malaise of grief if it comes to that. I feel for you, and I'm sure most everyone here understands you and your families feeling.
