Howdy,
Hope you’re enjoying the Crackdown Pod appearance this week. Our phones are now working and we found out where Bryan’s echo is coming from (his own headphones he wears around his neck) so there will be a call in show this Sunday at 9pm est. I just got high on some Cherry Pie so here are 5 things I'd like to share with you this week.
- Diabolique (1955) - Amazing thriller from way back in the day. Hitchcock type shit and incredibly done. A wife and mistress decide to kill their man and then some weird shit starts happening. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
- This interview with Desmond Is Amazing on The Guys We Fucked Podcast. 11 year old drag kid and their democratic socialist mom. Really good shit. Yes the hosts are libs don’t bother me about it just fast forward through it until you get to the interview.
- “There is in me an anarchy and frightful disorder. Creating makes me die a thousand deaths, because it means making order, and my entire being rebels against order. But without it I would die, scattered to the winds.” - Albert Camus I am feeling this so hard right now. My last few months of productivity and mental health have been brought upon by rebelling against my disordered self and making rules to harness this chaos.
- This is a really good black bean quinoa crockpot recipe. It’s been a go-to for a few weeks now. The beans and quinoa are a powerful combo. Plus you can ditch the cheese really easily and avoid the needless fat. Crockpots not required, but you can always find them at the thrift store. It makes balancing work and eating home cooked meals a little bit easier.
