Howdy,
Hope your week is going well. The Southwest Tour Tickets have arrived!! This week we also released the History Zine. Bryan and I wrote out exactly how we got here and what inspired us. These are some things that have improved my week.
- Big Boi talking about Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) by Kate Bush - I mean he really sells the song. It’s a great video. Just click it and enjoy.
- Earny - Automatically save money on your online purchases with your credit cards. This app/site scans your email for purchases and then monitors the item for lower prices, when they find it, you get the difference minus their 10%. I have saved several hundred dollars using this one and it’s all automated. Some cards require you to call to get an access code for price protection claims but making a phone call ain’t that hard. I am recommending it now because the Audio Mixer we just bought dropped in price by a $100 so we are now getting $90 back.

- CeraVe AM/PM moisturizer - I reached out to my skin care expert, Kath Barbadoro, and asked for a recommendation that was affordable but wasn't bullshit. After implementing a proper washing and moisturizing routine I now believe we should teach all boys skin care in school if their parents won't do it. Sooner rather than later. It cleared up a lot of annoying pimples in my problem areas and my skin glows now. I can also laugh at drunken face washing memes too. Also the AM stuff has SPF in and if you’re a stubborn guy who won’t wear it look up basal cell carcinoma.
- The Case for the 24/6 Lifestyle with Aaron Edelheit - This episode of the Art Of Manliness Podcast is about taking a day away from social media and work to enjoy yourself. Okay first, Yes I sometimes listen to outwardly off putting quasi-conservative faith based podcasts if it's a topic I am interested in. Second, it's not a chauvinist podcast and there are no problematic slurs or railing against feminism or cultural Marxism. Third, the guy being interviewed is a rich dude with problems I'm sure you won't relate to. So why am I recommending this? The research and results in the show lay out the scientific and statistical info on just how bad overworking is. It's enlightening and will reaffirm the things you've known to be true through lived experience. It also makes a compelling argument for taking a day every week to turn off work and your phone to live and fuck like you're on vacation.
- Crispy Taco Whole Roasted Crickets by Exo Protein - A lot of people asked so here they are. The price is very high, about $3 a bag. I got them because I usually spend $20 - $40 a month trying mushroom teas, probiotic cultures, live grasses, raw food bars, cutting edge fake proteins, etc. It’s something that brings me joy. These crickets are actually very good. On their own it’s a bit intimidating but they are only 70 calories so I usually mix them up with nuts or cheese crackers. If the thought of eating crickets is too gross their protein bars are my favorite. The amount of fiber in them is worth the money and will make you proud of your shits.
Peace,
Brett
