Late edition of High Five Friday. Hope your week went well. We are going to be performing at Best Friend Bar with the Trillbillies in Lexington, KY on Friday 6/14. Tickets coming soon.
- Anderson .Paak - The concert was unreal. He had a drum set that rose up out of the ground and he went back and forth from incredible drum solos to dancing up and down the stage while he rapped. Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop, Rock And Roll, R&B, etc he had something for everyone. A true entertainer in the purest form I would go see Anderson .Paak and the Free National anywhere they go.
- Questloves Cheesesteak - I had this at Ascend Ampitheater in Nashville when I saw Anderson . Paak and apparently they are at a bunch of live nation venues. Impossible steak meat with cheese and a pickle relish that knocked me back when I tasted it the first time. I wish I could get it in a drive thru.
- Even if you're broke you can invest in friends - I spent a lot of my early days helping friends of friends move, pitching in on a friend's business, and generally making myself available to people that needed my skills. Your human network is a very valuable asset that you can always invest time into. The people who you take an extra hour or two to assist today will become people who can get you hired, assist your project, and connect you to important people 5 or 10 years from now.
- Bayonetta 2 for Switch - I started this one on tour. It's an incredibly fun game. As an OG Devil May Cry fan this is a wonderful successor. The dodging and witch time make me feel like I'm a master of badass gunheels and swords. The characters are all terrifying and the story goes all the way to the depths of hell. It's a horny game as well which is fun because there aren't a lot of M rated games for switch.
- " People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar. " - Thich Nhat Hanh
Have a great weekend I'm going to have a picnic at the park and listen to some music tomorrow. Find the rest of the High Five Friday here.
Peace,
Brett
