 Hey everyone,

Hope your Friday is going well, I am planning on ordering some Detroit style pizza, hitting the indica pen and playing some of that Super Mario Bros. U tonight. Next week is the live show in Columbus, OH and comfest! This week the bonus show was Bryan and Brace vol 3. If you heard the clip on the main feed, it was from an older show, which can be found here. If you add the private feed to your podcast app, you can scroll backwards through all the available shows and find over 2 years of episodes with Chapo Trap House, Delete Your Account, Champagne Sharks, Rachel Millman, Nick Wiger from Dough Boys, Struggle Session, etc.

  • Swingin Party by The Replacements - Paul Westerberg really is an incredible songwriter. I just finished their chapter in the book Our Band Could Be Your Life and I love the bands dour attitude towards everything. I have a similar tendency to think this is about the best it's gonna get for me, being a midwest artist who rode in on a fluke, and everything from here is downhill. The openness and vulnerability of the lyrics in this song, when combined with the simple but grim wordplay provide a lot of levity for me.

  • Phantom Thread - I avoided this movie for a long time. I thought it was going to be about some asshole getting painted in a cool light. It wasn't like that at all. It's mostly about being a creator and making time and room for a relationship. It was hilarious the way this movie mirrored my own manipulation, anger, and fits of rudeness that I've deployed in my own relationships. A lot of it was very familiar although not as extreme. They just really nailed what it's like when you're in a quiet room and your partner starts scraping a knife across a piece of dry toast lol. It ends in a very weird place that will make you scratch your head and then stand up and clap.

  • “ No one will bring back the years; no one will restore you to yourself. Life will follow the path it began to take, and will neither reverse nor check its course. It will cause no commotion to remind you of its swiftness, but glide on quietly. It will not lengthen itself for a king’s command or a people’s favor. As it started out on its first day, so it will run on, nowhere pausing or turning aside. What will be the outcome? You have been preoccupied while life hastens on. Meanwhile death will arrive, and you have no choice in making yourself available for that. ” - Seneca, On The Shortness Of Life

  • Become an advanced recycler - This is a list of places that take the pesky plastics you can't recycle like bread bags and yogurt cups or tubs. Check it out so you aren't fucking things up for the local recycling center.
