High Five Friday 10/4/2019 (Patreon)

Howdy! We are going to be in  Oklahoma City and Texas next week! If you're at ACL send us a message and we will say Hi.  The first episode of Shocktober is available. I believe the Tom Leykis episode will debut next week. The November West Coast tour is coming along well too. Check out this sick poster and let's get down to the cool shit.

• Anak Ko - Jay Som - I am a sucker for unexpected style switch-ups and this song has an incredible one. Sleepiness breaking into insanity and then comfortably landing again. This whole album has been a great addition to the other albums. I am happy I pre-ordered the vinyl.

• Akira - Duh. It's legendary. I've seen it a couple of times now but it's been over 10 years since the last one at this point. I pulled it up the other night and I am glad I did because I realized how foundational it was to my life. A kid in a biker gang ends up being a government experiment! Soldiers turning on the military! So much disgusting gore and horror. It's still a great watch and some of the finest animations ever created. I think the ending is incredible and beautiful. Unfortunately, I think I am Tetsuo and Bryan is Kaneda.

• “I would not be a Moses to lead you into the Promised Land, because if I could lead you into it, someone else could lead you out of it.” ― Eugene V Debs

• Super Mario Kart on the phone - God damn it's good. I am avoiding a lot of work with it.  My friend ID is 3178 2995 0203

• Everything Hot Dog Buns - Worth every extra penny. They really class up a veggie hot dog.

If you like what you read here and you haven’t seen all of my High Five Friday posts they can be found here.

Peace,
