We are back! I haven't done much but perform recently so I have 2 airplane movies this week. Everyone on the west coast treated us great and we were happy to see all y'all. The Ohio weather is a pain in the ass right now. I came back just in time for the holidays and I am prepping myself for the season because my household is going to be very tight on money. We already went to a holiday kickoff at the main library that was lots of fun. I'll be focusing on soaking up all the free holiday fun I can with the fam and stretching my dollar. I'll keep y'all updated along the way so we can survive the madness together. There WILL be a call-in show this Sunday.

- Master Z: The Ip Man Legacy - This is an incredible addition to the Ip man lineup and it reinvigorated the series for me. Zhang Jin reprises his role as Cheung Tin-chi from Ip man 3. After being disgraced by Ip man he has given up fighting to work at a grocery store. As humbled masters tend to do, he finds himself forced to fight again. While on delivery he encounters a local gang and has to beat them all up to defend an opium addict. There is an excellent cameo from Tony Jaa, and an incredible performance by Michelle Yeoh as the crime boss who wants to go legit. Dave Bautista continues his impressive acting streak which makes for an incredibly satisfying blowoff fight at the end that will get you to jump out of your seat. Donnie Yen was in the production seat on this one as well.

- Coconut milk - More nutritional substance than almond milk and it makes every breakfast a tropical vacation.

- Shadowrun (Error) by Ho99o9 - Pronounced Horror, their album, Cyber Warfare, is one of my favorites of the year. It's hardcore, hip hop, nu-metal, doom, peace, anarchy, and more. Really fun loud music.

- Hellboy (2019) - I watched this one on the plane along with Master Z and loved it. If you can watch this without comparing it to the other movies you can have a great time. If you are a fan of Hellboy and will take what you can get, this will blow you away. This really captured the spirit of the comics and the twisting labyrinth of lore that is shallowly explored. This movie never broke down into monologues or lessons on history. One of the few conversations in the movie is Hellboy asking how killing "bad guys" will ever solve anything. It has hill giants, trolls, vampires, demons, shapeshifters, cat-people, zombies, and every other horrific abomination conjured up in the mind of man. It's a truly spectacular bloodbath for large parts of the movie. It's action and horror and it's the shit.
- Letting Go of the Person You Used to Be By Lama Surya Das - I mentioned this on the show recently and a few of you asked about it so I thought I would put it on here. This book helped me reform my thoughts and allowed me to let go of a lot of trauma and habits that were dragging me down at a young age. It was this text (and psychedelics) that pushed me towards finding happiness in my own life and leaving behind negative ways of thinking that weren't serving me. 15 years later and I'm still a mess lol but this book brought me a lot of relief when I read it. Maybe it's time for a revisit.
