Alright, the intro to Buttfest 2000 has arrived. Bryan and Alex covered a lot of ground with this one, and the spontaneous mention of bowling shirt bands was a highlight for me. I loved Reel Big Fish and wore a lot of bowling shirts because I was a husky teen who shopped at the thrift store. Hawaiian shirts too, because they were always on sale at Kohls and my grandma could find them.

Also, the mention of cock rock and Alex's graph from "bump" to "spike" really captured my imagination. Like butt rock, cock rock is also a genre I remember hearing around 2005-2010 but now has really solidified itself as a genre. I do have to say after looking for gifs and seeing Buck Cherry once performed from horny jail it makes me start to disagree with Alex.

They recorded the 80's episode last night. Jake had some family things so he couldn't post the intro episode last Friday. It should be here sometime this week (maybe). I am going to do 2000's which I am stoked about because I have actually been listening to a lot of Breaking Benjamin, Crossfade, Cold, Puddle Of Mudd, Avenged Sevenfold, etc. during these dark days of Covid.

What are your favorite buttrock anthems?? or the worst co-workers that listened to them.

Does it seem to bring the worst in you out? There's no running away from these things that hold you down Do they complicate you because they make you feel like this? Of all the colors that you've shined this is surely not your best But you should know these colors that you're shining are... Surely not the best colors that you shine I know you feel alone, yeah, and no one else can figure you out But don't you ever turn away from the ones that help you down? Well they'd love to save you. Don't you know they love to see you smile? But these colors that you've shined are surely not your style #Crossfade #Colors #Vevo
