Are you having RSS problems? (Patreon)

I have no ideas what to do about it. Acast people keep messaging me about their feed not showing the premium episodes since December 11th but the premium feed is showing up just fine in my app. I have zero control over anything besides posting to Patreon. Please comment if you have figured out a way to make it work or if you're using another platform that is having issues. I will reach out to Patreon and see what they say.

Having issues with rss not showing me new episodes on Overcast since December like you said. Thought it was just me tho!

From what I can tell, the problem doesn’t seem to be related to any of the different apps out there. When you look at the feed that Acast has (by scrolling down before clicking on your preferred podcast app), you can see that the last episode it has is Dec 11.

Premium content loads fine in the Patreon app, but when I try access the RSS feed via Acast, Google Podcasts or Pocket Casts apps, December 11th is the latest content available.

Using Podcast Republic, hasn't updated since December 11th. I tried unsubscribing and resubscribing just now as was advised when I messaged about this earlier but it's the same problem. I don't think I can attach a screenshot but I noticed that when I resubscribed and then selected "Connect to RSS feed," the last episode it shows in the feed is BF2K - The 80's which dropped on December 11th, and if I use the RSS link to import it in to Podcast Republic, that's the latest episode that shows up there. I am not an RSS expert but it seems like there's an issue with the feed not updating. I use Podcast Republic for all my other Patreon podcast feeds and they all update so I don't think it's the app either. If I can help in any way, please let me know.

i had an issue because i was only giving $10 a month and i think i missed an update on the levels and so my feed got deactivated. once i changed to $12 the new feed link worked.

I use Downcast on iOS and I’ve had no issues with premium content for Street Fight, though I have had lots of problems with a different Patreon producer. For that producer, problems occur with both my iOS Downcast app and with iTunes running on my PC. Sometimes both places have problems, sometimes only one does, or the other does, or neither does. I suspect it has something to do with how producers upload their content and that may affect how Patreon marks/flags those posts.

I have been having this problem as well and feel bad for bugging the boys about it. FWIW, using Apple Podcast app on an iPhone. I changed my tier to bump up, and after that was when I had problems. Trying to unsubscribe and re-subscribe, re-add the feed, etc. all did not work. BUT, I did just try the method sireebob suggested (grabbing the Patreon rss link from within the Acast link) and that works! Thanks and apologies to all

acast's rss stuff is sometimes bound to your specifc subscription state, i think. as someone who has periodically disenrolled and re-enrolled to other shows that use acast, i've found that i have to repull a new rss link every time my subscription state changes. if i drop off for a while and come back, new rss link. if i upgrade to a new tier, new rss link. if i hold onto my old link from the previous subscription state, it stops updating. rinse and repeat as needed. honestly i've just gotten into the habit of redownloading all of my rss links every month or two and that seems to have prevented the issue from happening, despite being mildly tedious, but that might reinforce my hypothesis. anyway, hope that helps someone. using overcast on iOS if that matters for anyone's troubleshooting needs.

have you tried deleting the feed and adding it again with the current RSS address from Patreon? That seems to solve most of these issues.

Yeah been having this issue with Podcast Republic on Android. I tried deleting the subscription and re-adding it (copy and pasting the RSS link from acast back in) but still have the same issue with it not updating anything since 12/11/20.

I've tried every workaround without success. Patreon is really clunky to try to use as a podcast app. The RSS preview before I try to copy the link even shows it cutting off at 12/11 buttfest.
