My boss is an idiot who isn't capable of understanding my work but is assigned to manage me doing it (which he's too lazy to do). The boss above him loves bullshitters and has filled our management team with liars who pretend to know what they are talking about. I can generally handle all of that and I get paid well. My question is how do i keep my job secure when there are so many morons in management that we risk the whole department getting shut down if someone competent outside our department starts paying attention?

I just broke some shit at work. How do I blame it on something/ someone else or hide it to avoid getting in trouble.

I took a layoff from my job at the grocery co-op back in January. I am a sensitive person, and anxiety, depression, and substance abuse was through the roof as working during covid was just too much for my wellbeing. I went to rehab for 60 days, and am now doing great. I am a visual artist and musician, and have decided to pursue doing art professionally while I am collecting unemployment, with the goal being to sustain off of it once unemployment dries up. As fellow creatives, I was wondering if you guys had any advice for making this work, and pitfalls or ratholes to avoid.

It's sometimes instructive (disheartening) to look at ads for adjunct faculty positions that typically require a Master's degree, involve an unspecified amount of work, and pay $1200 per unit.

I’ve made a deal with a bar i frequent. My job wont let me expense alcohol for client meetings, but has no problems if i expense food... So, this bar i go to will convert all the drinks i order into food items on my bill. I order a beer for $5, they charge me for a $5 fries for instance. This works out really well for me, as i can drink on the company dime, right near my house. Recently my boss, who is out of state, recently asked for me to take him to this place i do all this entertaining, as he knows i’m a foodie and generally know great places to eat. Shit. What do i do?
