Oh, so is this referring to the scene in the brothel about broken promises? Did the expired reaper die before he could come back to Li Wei? Im really getting curious!!

Reaper carrying Waiting all the way there and Waiting’s internal ‘aww’ moment is a mood. 🥺🥺 Ah well. It was very sweet of Reaper. I really liked this reveal. The shock from Waiting and Reaper, the tie in to the curse from a broken promise, and it’s also a nice touch cos that’s when Waiting is told what could happen if he touches the pouch. A very neat wrap up. Hmmm. Definitely has me curious for what’s next. Will the curse be broken cos he finally came back for Li Wei??? I’m such a sucker for the ‘I’ve waited centuries for you and now that we’re reunited we can be at peace.’ It’s so romantic. Even still, just him doing everything he can to get back to her to keep his promise. ....now THAT is giving me some thoughts. *cough cough* Waiting. I’m definitely due for another read to refresh my memory...
