Yeah that episode was like... way too fast. Seems like you got most of it. The stuff with CC and Anya confused the hell out of me as youngin and now I see why lol The thing with CC and Anya has been hinted at. Obviously everytime Anya and CC interacted she had that headache geass shit happen. But CC has also just like... been talking to Marriane when no one was around. A bunch of times. Also Anya has stated that she often loses or is missing her memories. Suzaku assumed it was because of the Emperorr at the time... What they've implied this episode is that Marriane was given geass by CC, which has somehow resulted in her still being here today. As or in Anya. Marriane also seems very knowledgable about Geass. And implied CC specifically sealed away her code (the thing that make her immortal able to give geass) so charles couldn't take it, and with it her memories. Now, I have no clue how Marriane like... reached CC and snapped her out of it? As for why they did the memory loss, the simplest explanation is that the author NEEDED Lelouch to have a moment where he lost EVERYTHING. Including the one person he shouldn't have been able to lose. But also I'm sure she remembers what happened while her memory was gone... so maybe itll play into their relationship? (I dont remember lol) Thats my theory at least...

Yeah i truthfully never found the Emperor a super interesting character. One of the reasons I dont like s2 as much. I'll summarize though for posterity even if you got it. His plan, the whole time, was to use the system/geass to effectively kill god. Remake the whole world. Not just take it over. And he is about to (try) and do it when Lelouch showed up. Schneizel properly noticed the Emperor literally doesn't care about the world or his kingdom anymore, and has decided he needs to stop him/take the reigns himself. Especially because he knows about Geass now and see it as a bad/evil thing. Hence the coup de tat Suzaku is just crashing out. Bro just hates geass. He does want the world to be a better place, and the emperor is an obstacle to that. So he found an excuse to go after him.
