Got confused on that too. The “1 year ago” at the start s just a quick reference to something happening in the present timeline. Right after that, the episode jumps way back to when Dazai and Chuuya were 15, which is years before the Odasaku arc while Dazai was still in the Port Mafia. So even though he leaves the Port Mafia later, this flashback happens before that, and the two parts are totally separate. So dazai in the current timeline is in his 20's and the studio just didn't redraw him so he looks exactly the same age

They didnt word it the best but yeeah dazai is 22 years old definetly not 16, if u rmb after his friend death dazai left the port mafia and he had to go into hiding for 2 years b4 joining the detective agency so he cant be 16 so dont worry the author aint tripping. Also u said u dont cover movies but do u plan to check the uma musume movie after s3? would love to see my goat agnes tachyon
