in hindsight I totally dramatised this but at that moment in time I felt really hurt. I get comments all the time saying ' I wish I was your friend ' or you must be so popular etc.. when really I am incredibly lonely, and am struggling to make good friends.

Happy birthday! In a world where everything seems connected more than ever it's hard to make friends. My own life seems to be intense periods of sociability to periods of being alone and being a bit lonely; I can relate.
