No no, we don't have a problem with the male hosts at all. Just wondering why you don't see more female hosts for these types of shows is all!

If I had to guess I think it may just be because a majority of these variety shows have been around for a while and they just chose to stick with what works or they just go with people that are more available. When you watch a majority of these shows more likely than not you’ll end up seeing the same handful of males as host. Though in the end it has more to do with the production companies not progressing with the times and choosing to hire only men or just one woman in a cast full of men. BTW I can’t wait until y’all see one of the most chaotic and longest Random Play Dances on Weekly Idol.

Weekly Idol was hosted primarily from the start in 2011-2018 by the two hosts from Idol Room Doni and Coni. (they started Idol Room after leaving Weekly Idol) For the rest of 2018, it was hosted by 3 new hosts, these hosts were not liked(hosting the show, not in general) Then from 2019-2020 there was 3 new hosts which were liked a bit more but still not that much. Until 2 of them left and only Hwang Kwanghee(an idol) remained. He would then be joined by a different host each episode for a short while until Eunhyuk from Super Junior would join as a permanent host(these 2 are the ones in this episode and are the current hosts) They are well liked and have made Weekly Idol be liked again. It helps when the hosts are fellow idols. :)
