Paul looked up startled. Had he fallen asleep? His mind had wandered and he’d found himself in a very strange place. He looked at the empty seat opposite him in the booth. The idea that two enormous plus-sized women could have both sat in that space, plus himself in the middle was completely ridiculous.

It didn’t happen.

Somewhere deep down he felt a pang of sadness.

He shook it off and stood resolute. Big women weren’t his thing. Never had been. He’d be more attracted to the actual ladies he saw at the counter when he walked in. Athletic and trim…

He looked around for his waitress. She was stood at the counter taking another order. She noticed him and held up three fingers to indicate his order would be with him in three minutes. Given the wild daydreaming he was experiencing a new thought slipped into his mind.

What would she look like if…

He shook his head.

Get a grip Paul!

But the book in the back of his car began to glow once more.

Paul felt sleepy.

Before he could do anything about it, he’d closed his eyes.

Just for a second…

He thought.

Coffee and cherry pie is on its way…
