Did you think Jaka was done blowing your mind? Because this fig makes it three for three for this week’s Spiderverse reviews! Spider-Punk rounds out this amazing trifecta with some absolute fireworks!

I’ve been staring at all the microscopic jacket pins alone for at least twenty minutes admiring the scale of them while still being recognizable. Jaka even included details like the teeth in the boots with a super tiny layer of brown along the base of the legs! And all those silver jacket studs everywhere! Wow!

It’s crazy how accurate this fig is to the film’s own character design! Like… I’m speechless here! And that guitar! Dude! The guitar itself is truly the most impressive aspect of this fig and you can see why!

While the torso had at least six different layers of print to admire, the guitar has up to eight colors that I could discern as PAD-applied ink, plus the two more additional colors of base plastic (where it’s likely that one of those two are also printed on)

I'm not on Jaka’s production team so I can’t confirm this, but it may even be dual molded (rather than just an orangey guitar with a printed neck). However I couldn’t see any seam lines where plastic meets plastic. It does have a super subtle darkish circle in the center that could be an internal pinhole where brown plastic was filled… but that could also just be the magnet

Oh yeah did I mention there’s also freaking magnet inside that lets you mount it to his back!

Gahhh! Perfect! No notes!

Well… except for one note… the paint chipping…

Naturally, I didn’t put this piece into the hands of a minifig, but I’m happy that Jaka did address this possibility. A good brand with good communication. While the tried their best, at least they didn’t hide behind their QC issues, and instead made a public statement on the matter.

Good job Jaka! You guys are champs for being honest about the whole thing! 👍🏻

Regardless, this guitar is just INSANE! I mean look at all those print layers and the design accuracy (and I love the legofications Jaka tweaked for the final look like that green Chima wolf)! It takes CitizenBrick’s guitars to a whole new level!

I would argue that this one piece could cost you around $30-$40 easily!

(listen to me, I’m talking more about the guitar than the actual fig here!)

We also got another of the dimensional gauntlets, plus Spider-Punk’s own customized version that you can loan to Gwen for rogue missions :)

I was worried about how frail the Mohawk would be, but it’s actually a decently sturdy element! To be fair, I didn’t exactly stress test it though (justifiably). It's still solid enough for me to remove it and put it back on without any stressing of plastic!

My one and very veeeery minor gripe about this fig is the hair though. Jaka again has nailed the design translation in many ways, but it’s the weakest aspect as far as 3D design work goes. I love the idea of the inclusion of hair, but not so much the shaping. Maybe it’s a personal preference, but it’s a bit too “sectional” if that makes any sense.

From some angles, the strands have an odd sort of length to them that feels like the plastic should fill in a little more negative space? I don’t think it’s a deal breaker by any means, but that’s just what my gut reaction was to seeing it for the first time.

However it looks great with the Hobie head! The piercings and all look great of course, but I do wish he looked a little more upset with the world. The smirk is nice, and the “neutral” expression is good, but an upturned frowning “I’m too good for this” expression would have been a welcomed inclusion.

It’s also a rare case where I feel that Jaka missed the mark for the eyes too. Like they’re perfectly Lego-like, but I almost wish the eyes were bigger and more animated somehow? But I’m sure that would have also bugged me too so… idk

I like this fig. I like it a LOT! Some minor personal preferences won’t deter that big picture. Jaka is truly a rockstar in the custom minifig community and there’s no other way to put it!

At $125ish, this was certainly higher up there in its price range, but absolutely warranted. Jaka just can’t miss right now! Keep it up you legends! Can’t wait to review your next fig! ;)
