Here’s a fun comparison!

Phoenix Customs designed this same MCU suit all the way back in 2019! And if this wasn’t a sign of how fast this hobby has changed and bloomed in the last six years, then clearly you must be new to the scene!

This old PCB Cap feels so primitive now compared to what LifeBrick has brought to the table. PCB’s fig has a very “early-days” feel to it that I can’t quite put my finger one. Something about the simplified Lego-esq linework or the limited ink layers that just make this fig feeeeel old school, ya know?

You can really see what I mean when you look at the legs of each fig in particular. LB didn’t skip anything, while PCB did a significant amount of simplifying the original screen costume for their fig.

Another large upgrade from LifeBrick came with its custom parts!

I remember back in the day, PCB had this super clever and innovative idea for the helmet straps to just be a simple cloth piece that rested between the helmet and the head. To be fair, it’s still pretty genius! But LB took it one step further and gave us that immaculate multi-material element that just blew my socks off!

PCB’s shield is also something of a bygon era. Originally PCB (and subsequently BrothersFigure, the printers of this fig) sourced their shields from Brickforge (a custom minifig parts company that’s only just hanging on for dear life these days)

But now, compared to LB’s new shield, this one just looks big and clunky.

The removable bar-handle also feels dated compared to this new magnet tech everyone is adapting! One thing to also consider is that LB’s production crew didn’t need to outsource their parts like PCB/BF did.

LB made everything in house, and everything about that newer shield is just stunning!

I want to make it clear though that BOTH of these figs are still incredible! But LifeBrick unarguably takes the skills and technical ability that time has given them, and has made something that truly can’t be rivaled!
