The original concept for this photoshoot was wrapped loosely around a story of Jimmy Olsen finding himself down on his luck with Perry White. He finds himself on a roof overlooking The Daily Planet and sighs, when Superman glides in and they chat for a while, finally getting Jimmy to smile.

A little cheesy, but with the week I was having when the idea arrived to me... I needed the cheese.

Anyway, here's the original sketch, a better look at TDP Building, and a trick I used to keep Jimmy from constantly falling off the build. :P

Also (if anyone cares to read it) here's the VERY ROUGH outline of the original story:

~*~*~*~*~

Jimmy opens the rooftop door and sighs
He sits down in a slump
The wind picks up, brushing Olsen's hair from his forehead.
 "Why the long face, Jimmy?"
"Oh..." he said unsurprised, "Hey Clark" Jimmy sighed again. "Perry is really grinding my gears"
Superman Softly lands on the roof beside him
"During your fight with that Giant Robot my camera was smashed and I lost all the film from the entire event!"
 Jimmy's head dropped lower
 "I'm such a disappointment."
 "Now Jimmy..."
"No really Clark, even Miss Lane thinks so!"
"If you get her started, Lois could praise you enough if she tried. You two go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly or Batman and Robin. Today may be tough, but look at all that's worth living for!"
As the sun sets, the sky reflected across the skyline in red and yellow hues of color
"Do you think that the folks that built all this gave up after one bad day?" Superman Asked
"...No..." Jimmy said reluctantly, with an honest tone in his voice
"Heck, I'm Superman and I'm constantly amazed by what people can accomplish! Just think of what young men and woman your age will do and create in their lifetime! Think of what "you" can do! All the things you've already done!"
 "Gee I don't know Clark..."
"Jimmy, I've never met a photographer so brave!"
The two smile as the sun sets.

~*~*~*~*~

Like I said, very rough, but the core concept was there to inspire the build. But as you can see, adding Lois during the principle photoshoot changed the entire concept of the story.

...Whoops :P

Good story! Honestly, when I first saw the photo, I wondered "Why is Lois there?" Still, all good...
