...This shoot took hardly any effort to create :P
The cliff-side build was already assembled from the Amnesty Bay/GoJ2017 shoots! The only true challenge was getting the photographing angle right to match the source material :P
Originally this idea came to me as a sketch (at the time I thought I was the first person to ever think of re-creating this photograph with the JSA). But I'm glad that post-conception, I did some research and discovered that I wasn't as original as I thought :P
Also, I had the intention to have both DFate and Starboi flying around the borders of the image with Black Canary in the center (as you can see with my sketch), but during the shoot, the framing didn't how like I wanted, and BC was cut from the final image, and everybody else was grounded!
The lighting was also pretty simple with this shoot. I was going for soft shadows, so going with my standard execution, I used an external flash pointing away from the subjects, and left a window open to let some residual light in :)
Honestly, most of what you see in the final image though (the scrapes and fading) was all done in Photoshop just like the 1918 Wonder Woman Photograph was! :)
