I had this idea in my head of vast blue oceans spread out across the image. Where you get this sense of anxiety from looking out into nothing but deep blue's and black's. However once I finally managed to get to my desk and put things into motion, I realized that the specific custom figure I had in mind, wouldn't work the way I wanted (mostly because the back of Aquaman's peal-gold legs would have really taken you out of the scene - they were unprinted and clashed too much with the blue)

So in the end I changed it up a little bit, but genuinely I was much more keen for this idea :P
