This build was probably the most involved “background” I’ve built to in a long while! I really wanted to create a sense of depth to the image, so a flat surface just wasn't going to cut it if I was to build in a forced perspective. Go big or go home, right? :P

Anyway, because of that logic and because I like to overwork myself, I made sure to really stock the shelves and fill them with all kinds of shapes and colors!

Most of this assembly took the better part of a day, and I built it in a bit of a frenzy. Lately, I've been in a bit of a slump when it comes to builds and I didn't want to let this one stop me, so when I would hit a wall (like running out of black door frames or transparent 1x1s) I just kept on going with other means until I finished the project! (I really didn't want to place a Bricklink order for something as redundant as those parts when I had already spent a good chunk on the figure to get him :P

But yeah! Once the build was completed, a few days later I photographed it with two pieces of paper on either side to reflect light on the inside of the build (kind of like a shitty light box), with the only hard light coming from above, through the window panels in the ceiling of the assembly :)
