Here’s the build! (Patreon)

With both builds I wanted to capture the old/weird feeling of the 1949 show, as well as give them a dramatic (more modern) take on the idea. The concept of using shadows in the imagery was very much of the time so I built the alleyway and its inhabitants in black and white with that in mind. The entire build was built with the intention of only using grey-scale elements. Despite still subtly tweaking the saturation of the final images in post, most of what you see was actually in black and white :)
Lighting this little alleyway was fun too! Playing with shadows and the overall noir vibe really goes hand in hand with Batman, and with this figure it was a no brainer to shoot the build like this :P
Originally I had my doubts about shooting in B/W but after some time behind the camera I was turned around almost 100%. I expressed this to Mr BatBricks prior to reciving the fig, hence how I was sent two. So since he sent me two, I built two scenes!
The Commissioner’s office actually re-used a handful of furniture from my New Frontier Batman build from a few months back, but rearranged, otherwise, this was the easier of the two shoot, but still just as enjoyable (just not as much fancy lighting) :P
