So these two figs came in some pretty non-standard packaging...

If you’ve been in the community for as long as I have, you’ll be very familiar with those tiny little 1oz bags that everybody ships their figs in (whether it be inside a hard shell or just tossed into an envelope they’re always in one of those tiny little bags)! But these little mesh, cord-drawn coin pouches were certainly an interesting way of sending them out! As soon as I opened the mailer they came in, I just had to take a minute and just go “...Huh” before opening them up fully :P

Iron Man was made via some really well applied Water-Slide Decaling! It’s almost impossible to tell in photos, but you can see/feel it in person some of the raised areas where the decals wrap around the plastic. You can even see bits here and there where there’s some “wobbling” in the line work were the fig was burnished (lower right on the back of the torso, and near the base of the right leg) but it’s not bad enough to bother me all that much personally.

The helmet is a bit on the cheaper side compared to a lot of the customs I review here, but it’s by no means poorly made. It looks to be hand painted over a 3D-Printed element. The paint used is much more yellow than the actual figure is and was rather applied thickly. Again it’s subtle enough that it doesn’t bother me just at a glance but you can feel it in hand.

I suppose one thing to note though is that the head was not removable from the helmet. I tried for a bit, and indeterminately caused a crease/scrape from a fingernail unintentionally gripping too tightly to the element. So I gave up, mostly because I didn’t want to risk harming the piece further.

In most photos you can’t easily see the color differences or scuffs in the helmet, so for $20 he’s not too shabby! :)

Now Ant-Man on the other hand is actually pad printed, but gives off some strong KOPF/Knock-off vibes, almost as if AStarBricks was just reselling one of those figures. The quality of the helmet mold in particular is much more up to snuff than Iron Man’s; plus the two little ants he came with (not pictured) do not have any LEGO insignia or branding to indicate that they’re official Lego.

Also can we take a second to chuckle at the face print for a second!   In order to get the Helmet’s eyes to line up, the print just looks goofy as all hell without it on! :P

All in all, these two weren’t bad for the price I paid! :)
