PCB v Donut! (Patreon)

You asked for it! You demanded it! Here it is! We finally have it! The fight of the century! Cap vs Cap!

Okay okay, but seriously :P

There is a lot to praise with both of these figs. They’re both incredibly well detailed in their own ways. Where Phoenix boots are printed all the way around the leg, Donut’s arm printing wraps all the way around the piece for the gloves. The sharp and tight design of PCB’s torso with the light blue shine is lovely, while the Donut Torso’s straps have much more depth. PCB’s hands are a wonderful addition to the fig overall, but the sharpness of the “A” on the shoulder is best on Donut.

I can do this all day… like seriously… These two are almost incomparable. They both have fantastic strengths and weaknesses. Naturally I had to mix the two together for my photoshoot!

Comparing their different helmets, I can’t say that one is easily a favorite over the other. Donut really gives PCB a run for his money; I do however really enjoy the simplistic shaping of Phoenix’s, as well as the sharp (almost microscopic) silver printing with the wings and chin strap!

Yeah… I think for me PCB comes out on top because of the FAR SUPERIOR head print. If you all remember from my Dounut Fig review where they not only printed the eyes with color for one of the additional heads, but both heads eye-prints were far too low and too large for normal Lego standards.

But if it wasn’t for that, these two would tied for my favorite Captain America fig! Good job to both of the designers! It’s way better than anything I could ever make, that’s for sure :P
