Content

Now this has been on my mind for a little while now…  Ever since Flickr’s Lego fan base started to dissolve around in 2018, I’ve been considering my options to ease the process of production with my photos. Here’s an example of me taking the exact same photo with my iPhone XR (top) and my Nikon D3300 (bottom). Both of these images are raw and unedited.

There are some very clear distinctions between the two, like the depth of field, color, and the addition of an external flash positioned to the right of the image. ...But intrinsically speaking, they are the same photo.

I really wish I could bring myself to just be content with the iPhone XR’s standard of quality, but it still has a long way to go. I really can’t post images just from my phone all the time when I know I can get this kind of quality out of a proper digital camera...

Hence why it  probably takes me freaking forever to produce content sometimes.

That being said, I’m sure you’ve all been noticing the amount of content I’ve been throwing out there that has been solely cellphone photos (like on insta for example), so that being said, I’m trying not to be so stuck up about it and just make stuff regardless of quality but it’s haaaaard!

Anyway… just something to ponder over. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it though. Do you guys prefer quality over quantity?

Let me know! :)

But otherwise, that’s it for this week!
Till the next one! :)
