Okay so initially, my very first thoughts about this fig were about Mando’s helmet.

In hand, that helmet may be a little too shiny? (If that’s even something to complain about). Granted it could be the lighting in the show that makes it look darker, but I probably would have preferred PCB to have possibly produced it in a gunmetal

But that complaint aside, this fig has got all the bells and whistles that Mr Mando rocks. Where the bright and shiny print feels (maybe) too bright for the helmet and armor, it looks great for the little tips of bullet casings and belt trimmings and all the little things. They really do pop!

And again this might be a bit nit-picky of me as I'm thinking of it, but the shaping of the mold is a bit… undefined(?) compared to the render… and even compared to some of the other customs I’ve seen floating around. Particularly with the “mohawk” from the brow up and over the dome. In the show, and even in PCB’s pre-order renders, that crest was very sharp and easy to see. But with this final piece in hand those particular aspects of the mold get a bit lost.

But then again I go back and forth on that because when you compare it to an official helmet, it’s rounded features of even the back vent-things look about the same. (I don’t know… I’ve probably just had too much time to think about it.

Again, the big bummer about this one is the lack of printed hands. I inquired directly from PCB and was told (and later found out when I got the fig) that the EclipseGrafx Hands were not going to be initially shipped with the fig back in early November… nor was there any details given to the consumers that this would be rectified. Not even a note in the clamshell or anything. I had to actively seek out that info on my own.

That being said (I’m trying my best to separate the politics of minifig buying from the fig itself), this fig is very clean! It’s translated well! And at the time, it was a nice touch with the inclusion of  the mud horn emblem (even if Lego’s official figure came out and did it some months later)

I bought the version of the fig that included the (again, new for the time) Brickarms Rifle and Blaster and Bounty Fob. Oh and I also, I picked up a tattered CapeMaddness cape to try out and it looks... well it's alright (it was mostly to give me an option to try out with the planned photoshoot but... ya know.

But uh… yep. I think that’s about it. Not much more I can think about to say. Great, high quality product with some minor discrepancies regarding the acquisition.

(Edit 03-11-21 6:54 AM: This just in! PBC made a public announcement on their IG regarding production  of the hands. My Patreon posts are written days, sometimes weeks in advance. So even though the whole reason I'm posting these reviews are because I was done waiting for said hands, the timing couldn't have been weirder! Whoops! These things happen folks)
