Moon Knight is easily the best quality of the three, having only a single black layer of print on the head and three layers of print on the torso. Again I think that comes back to SJB understanding their limitations and really going for it!

That shiny silver on the torso turned out great, and the design translation from video game to physical fig is also easily the best of the three! (Not to mention it fills in the gap of the MuddyRiverFigs fig that I missed out on long ago. It’s practically the same figure and I’m glad to finally have one)

Monica is also a strong fig by comparison. With three layers of print for the head, the reddish brown matches great with official Lego plastic, and the lips don’t get lost in the two similarly colored inks. To my knowledge, this is a design completely translated by SJB. Monica Rambeau didn’t appear in any of the Lego Marvel video games, so this minifig design was all SJB and I gotta say it coulda fooled me! The cape is also quite nice! (not really much to say there, but it’s worth mentioning)

Now Bullseye might just be a case of “I got the ONE fig that looked a little rough from the batch”. To be fair, printing light flesh colors on black plastic is a challenge for even Lego themselves, so I’m gonna give SJB a pass. It is certainly closer to the plastic color of light flesh than what Lego produces, even if the application does look a little thick on the head itself.

Now when it comes to the legs, I almost wish they would‘ve either printed that white band around the entire foot (or at least two the sides) because as it is, it’s just a little odd looking. The original source material from the video game has him with full dual-molded boots (or I suppose back in 2012 they would have just been fully printed).

NotAnotherCustomMinifigure printed them this way too and it was fine. So I really don’t know what I’m complaining about I guess. There’s been plenty of custom Bullseye figs that have passed me by that you can see in these older “articles” by minifigures.co.uk so in the grand scheme of things, he doesn’t look any worse or any better than some of the other’s we’ve gotten in the past :P

Anyway, back on topic!

These three figs were part of a four-fig launch that included Daredevil that was nearly identical to my old MuddyRiverMinifigs fig from many many years back. So naturally I didn’t pick that one up, but I gotta say that this trio looks great!

They fit well with the Lego aethstetic, and are open to improvement with additional parts (like in my case, I gave my Moon Knight the new Beekeeper legs, and I also plan to give both Monica and Bullseye an extra pair of the dual molded Punisher legs whenever I can snag a few more from bricklink.

But yeah it really comes down to that fantastic price! For $30 each, they’re good solid figs! I’ll certainly be keeping my eye on SJBricks for more potential figs in the future ;)
