Surprise! It’s a bonus post!

Shockingly, minifigures.co.uk had one of these just layin' around so I scooped it up as well during the WandaVision frenzy in early April.

Now if I remember correctly, this fig went up for preorder in late 2017 and was sent out to the people by early 2018. It was one that just cruised past my radar at the time. I had my head stuck deep in Christo Flash figs at the time, clearly.

But hey, hindsight and all that! Anyway. for being a fig that’s nearly five years old, it’s not too shabby!

It has an integrated removable crown that BrothersFigure cleverly recycled the hair mold to use for several other comic characters with masks or crowns… though the quality of the two pieces “feels” cheap. It’s lighter than you expect when you hold it, and the trimming around the tips of the hair strands feels sharp (as though the molding press wasn’t fully sealed when the plastic was injected)

Not to mention that the little crown does pop off a little easily, but I think that was kind of the point though (to be able to swap the hair’s and accessories with other fig parts)

The design translation is pretty solid for being a “comic version Wanda Maximoff”. Now to my vastly humongous big brain of comic book knowledge, it’s not a particular version of the character in any specific X-Men run that I can think of, but it certainly has some very 2010 sort-of vibes to it’s over-all look

Additionally it uses a pre-existing Lego designed head (originally first appearing on a Supergirl fig from 2014/2015. Which again might bother some stringent collectors these days, but back then, we were happy she even came with a head! :P

Now all that being said, the 360 printing around the arms and legs are very ahead of their time. Particularly those fully printed shoulders (nearly pre-dating Lego’s introduction of dual molded arms and legs by a good year or so) Though the colors are a bit wonky (mostly that yellow-pink for the tights, and yellowy tan for the torso). Not to mention that weird glossy finish over the torso that’s super noticeable in certain lights.

But hey,  can we take a second to talk about how BrothersFigure printed 250 of these?! Man the custom fig game has changed so much since 2017, you never see those kinds of high numbers on collectors cards these days! Good on them for really getting this figure out to the people!

Also it was originally only $70 plus shipping! What a steal!

But other than that, there really isn’t too much to say about the fig other than it does hold the place for being the first custom comic-accurate Wanda Maximoff to be printed (custom or otherwise)

Anyway that’s enough Scarlet Witch for one week eh?
