Not gonna lie, this was a bit of an impulse purchase for me. This pair popped up in early December with no pre-order waiting and that was truly the big kicker for me to snag them

Well… that and the ulterior motives I had with the parts, but we’ll get there! >:)

They showed up in DiamondBricksCustoms containers which was odd. The figs were not a collaboration to my knowledge, but brands don’t always elude to their entire process so idk. It could just be a complete fluke and Nuno just had these laying around!

Now I’m not gonna sugar coat it, the Lebron Robin isn’t great… at least from a color standpoint. For one thing, rather than using a proper officially molded flesh-shaded head, Nuno printed the faces onto dark green heads, to which they already had some pretty weak design translation to start with all those thin lines.

Nuno is pretty decent at making custom parts, but that Robin print job though… oof. The orange torso, and the standard green does not look good compared to what we’re all familiar with. Why wasn’t the costume printed in regular red and green like in the movie? If Nuno used an actual Lego head to model the skin-tone after, they probably wouldn’t have had to resort to such weird color barfs.

To say in simply, he came with the house because I really couldn’t have cared less for the fig. I had my eyes on the prize!

The Bugs Batman is fantastic! The printing design translation and the colors are great! It’s a simple design, it has all the essentials, and it’s made fairly well!

Of course my final use for this fig will be a permanent stand in for a Bob Kane era Silver Age-y Batman with a simple headswap. But even as a final product the molded Bunny head doesn't fit on the figure without either getting it stuck, or damaging the element when removing it!

Also the blue print of the arms, legs and cape don’t match the official Lego blue that the hands are… so two steps forward, one step back.

$110 for the pair before shipping costs so that’s about $55 per fig which honestly isn’t terrible these days, but like these aren’t exactly top tier figs though, even if the custom molded parts have been made well.

The final verdict (in my bad math brain) comes to about $45 worth of usable parts (Bat’s body + The Robin Cape) while the rest of that Lebron fig will get stored away somewhere until I find a use for it like a Bizarro Robin or something idk…

It’s a shame because these two figs are made competently, they were made without pre-ordering, and they’re a little goofy and off the wall compared to a lot of serious-based customs that are out there.

We’ve also seen Nuno really nail it on the head! But these were just a little less than ideal. But hey, if that’s what I’ve got to do to make the perfect 1950s Batman, so be it!
