Christo… why does it always come back to Christo

This review took me a little while. The fig arrived to my mailbox back in early March and well... it just kept getting pushed back. First because of The Batman movie and then fig sale post prep and other figs arriving first. I’ve also been working on some new builds so that this page doesn't become solely just a review page for custom figs :P

But hey, I’m finally getting around to it! Look at that! There it is! LOOK AT IT!

Okay, story time! Recent highschool graduate Mr Parker Krex of Brickloot was looking to sell some old Christo figs and I managed to scoop this one up at a great price! Normally I don’t see it go for anything less than $200, so when he was selling it for $160, you know I had to jump on it!

For being a second hand fig, Parker must have never even opened it, because this was practically a brand new item without any fingerprints or dust to be seen… until I devalued it by cracking the sucker open!

>:)

Okay now it's time for the obligatory “We all know it and we’ve all sung it from the treetops, Christo’s quality is supurb!” segment of the show!

It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten a Christo fig that has both arm AND leg printing, and man is it clean! The linework all over the fig is stunningly applied, the colors are bright and sharp, and that silvery dotting on the eyes is super cool! Easily one of the cooler design interpretations for a Spider-Man mask.

Not to mention, the design translation from video game to Lego is also top notch stuff! Looks nearly identical to what Lego themselves would produce (in fact, it's eerily similar to the SDCC Exclusive from a little while back)

It’s kind of funny though, I had to laugh a little when my brain expected printing on the backs of the legs. It was then I remembered that Christo doesn’t do that or has ever done that, and it kinda shocked me for a second. It caused my brain to short circuit, remembering just how highly sought after his figs are, given how simple they are. The fact that this fig has leg printing at all, should have shocked me :P

Ironically though, that’s where this review quickly fizzles out. No bonus accessories, no bonus heads. Nuthin’ but the figure! So I’ll keep it short and sweet.

I didn’t even really have to deal with Christo himself; usually that’s where all my review text is dedicated in order to get the fig in the first place… weird how easy this was to get a hold of after all the drama is out of the way. Huh… it really makes you think…

*glares right at the camera*

So anyway, that’s all I’ve got! What do you guys think of it? It’s another one of those figs that’s a few years late, but I’m super pleased to finally have snagged it! :)
