Another day, another LifeBrick fig!

I’ve been holding off on posting this review for a bit because I was waiting on the miniGAZER Keaton Vulture fig, and it finally arrived! So how about we kill two birds with one stone… or one bird and one spider with one stone…?

I’m gonna be honest, LifeBrick hasn’t been impressing me lately...

But let’s not focus on the negatives yet, and just start with the basics!

The colors on this fig are great! That nice medium blue (or azure blue or marsek blue or bright blue or light blue or baby blue or robins egg blue or whatEVER you wanna call it!) looks great with that bright red!

It’s a LifeBrick fig, so it’s got some really clean printing and line work! Especially those teeeeeny tiny little grey lines that circle around the eyes, plus all the details of the hoodie zipper! Good stuff man!

The custom parts are… mostly… good!

That neck-bracket hood in particular is quite the stand out as it’s not a fully connected ring. It’s open at the front and lights up beautifully with the print of the torso! That’s some precision work going on there for sure! And of course the wrist gauntlet web shooters turned out great!

The minifig head is a different shade of red compared to the torso and hands, and there’s a subtle shading difference between the shoes and sock prints which I’m still not sure if they were intentional or not. It’s printed so cleanly it’s very hard to tell.

Okay but now with the good stuff out of the way, let’s talk about that bonus headpiece.

I should give LB props, because it’s fun in concept. I wasn’t the biggest fan of LB’s extra mask from their last Spider-Fig, but I think the extended lenses and subtle wrinkling works great to match the source material. Other than applying those goggles straight to a minifig head, this is honestly the next best solution!

But yet again, LifeBrick’s headpieces are too tight! This headpiece was so tight on the head that I swapped it with another random red head to see if it would go on a little smoother. Thank god I did too because the headpiece got stuck on that second head! So naturally in an attempt to remove the extra head from the headpiece, one of the goggle lenses popped right out of it’s eye socket!

So after a quick glue job, that eye was back in place. However without any glue, the headpiece is not letting go of that scrapped blank head… I’m real glad I didn’t put the custom printed one in there!

LifeBrick, what are you guys doing! These last couple figure with the tight headpieces… not cool man… not cool.

All in all, it was around $100 for him. Is he all that worth it? I’ll let you be the judge!

Oh and don’t forget to stop back in tomorrow for the main course of this Spider-Man Homecomeing Meal!
