MuddyRiverMinifgs - New 52 Superman (circa 2015) (Patreon)

Supes didn’t quite fit with the other review, but technically he came in the same bubble-mailer so he gets his own little separate mini-review! ;)

This New 52 Superman fig (or rather I should say just the torso) is also up there in design translation and I’m happy to add him to the collection! The yellow is nice and bright, the red is a liiiiitle pale (but not terribly) and the overall look of it is perfect!

Personally (and this might cause a riot here) but I find it much better looking when side-by-side the 2015/16 Phoenix Custom’s Superman of the same iteration. There's just something about PCB’s old muscle design that takes away from the “Lego Look” when you’ve got these two right next to eachother.

However, taking that old PCB head and giving it to this MRM torso (plus the new CMF Spider-Man legs), it looks really really really good!

...Aaaaand there you go, end of the mini-review!

Again I gotta say that I’m shocked that MuddyRiverMinifigs is back, blowing all the toxic preorder overpriced hullubaloo out of the water! Frankly it’s a huge breath of fresh air to buy a custom fig and have it at your door less than a week later! I actually had to postpone this review by a week or two because I didn’t have enough prep time to write up my preliminary thoughts before it arrived!

Whether they mean to or not, Beau just stirred up the custom minifig scene here in the states and I am very keen to see what they have next in store! ;)
