AmazingLee's Rami Green Goblin! (Patreon)

So here’s a goblin fig that no one’s been talking about!
It popped up for preorder back in March 2022 on LegendCMoc’s site listed as “Amazing Minifigure Green Devil” and let me tell you people must have been sleeping on this fig because holy smokes it’s cool! Get a load of that metallic green! Dude!
It arrived to me about five months later around the first week of August, wrapped in sticky cling wrap and my name stuck to the top. All the goods wrapped inside of a sudo-clamshell with lots of foam, quite similar to an L1N6 fig.
The lacquer and print applications are pretty snazzy for a new customizer on the scene! But there are some set-backs to this guy for the very same reasons. One of the first things I noticed was subtle cracking of the green finish (most easily seen on the chest area). And of course like with most drum lacquered figs, its poseable joints are VERY stiff.
Other than that though, it’s pretty well printed! From a design adaptation perspective AmazingLee seems to have opted for only three layers of ink over the entire figure (not including the head), with only black, a dark silvery grey, and a matte green. While the print itself is really sharp, it gets lost in the drumlaqure. Especially that matte green highlight layer.
But again there’s some intricate production value here! From what minimal print we get, it’s done beautifully!
Same can be said about the facial designs! For me, this aspect is what really sells the fig! These are some of the best looking Willem Dafoe heads I’ve seen! You can practically match each scene of the movie to one of these head prints! Really cool stuff!
It’s a shame however that one of my heads I received was misaligned. The grinning face is lower than it should be, while the shouting face is much higher up. It's on the same psychical head piece too which is even more odd...
It makes me wonder if this was a production error or a conscious design choice because all the other ink layers align correctly (like the black layer for the eyes vs the white later for the teeth and so on). Perhaps it could have possibly been that the physical plastic head wasn’t mounted in the printing press correctly?
Naturally my next best guess was that perhaps it’s the intended face for the open-mouth’d helmet? But even then, it doesn't line up right with the holes of the helmet! In fact none of the heads do… so idk… at least it still looks semi-decent with the hair piece *shrug*
But talking about being generous with amazing fleshy heads (yep, that was a sentence I just wrote), this fig also came with a drumlaqured head that is a fun call-back to the first official Lego Green Goblin! It’s a fun nod since the included helmets here don’t require all the blank headspace like that old original piece!
And of course lastly we gotta talk about these two helmets!
Really shiny just like the fig and really clean on the inside! But again coming back to the drum lacquered aspect of this fig, they’re both SUPER tight on the green head, and still hella tight on regular heads.
Despite how none of the included fleshy heads match up with the eye/mouth holes, these two helmets still serve different purposes! I absolutely love the open eye’d variant of this piece!
It’s interesting to note how these two parts were not made to be interchangeable elements. There’s no dual molding that can be seen here on the standard version that implies the eyes/mouth are an additional step to the production process. AmazingLee just went and made a fully separate element to include! What a champ!
All in all at a $115 price point, and a limit of 50 made, I’d say it was worth a bit of mystery surrounding this new brand! Good work on this one Thomas Lee! (whoever you are!)
