It's another Spot! I'm seeing double!

This one is just as fun as MRM’s, if not a bit more heavy handed in its overall design.

I find that the grey “sketch lines” on this fig feel a little too thick and dark. Like the contrast was cranked up too high. Perhaps a lighter shade of grey would have improved the subtlety of those details. I mean after all it’s not like they’re super obvious in the movie all the time 🤷🏻‍♂️

But on the flip side, it makes that price point of $55 a little easier to swallow when you can see all the print at all times.

It’s funny to look at the business model Jaka utilizes with their “JakaLite” branding compared to MRM (but don’t worry, I’ve got a second post lined up all about comparisons coming tomorrow!)

I’d imagine that part of that larger price tag comes in the form of accessories though! Do I think these accessories are worth the extra twenty dollars more than MRM’s Spot? No, not really, but it is a fun extra bit of stuff to play around with!

The wonky round tile is a fun play on a standard round tile! I was worried that it wouldn’t fit within the standard Lego Stud grid system, but it actually does!

It’s got a short-shot vibe to it, as if it was an incomplete mold of a standard 2x2 round jumper plate, only it’s intentional and looks just great! Buuuuut it doesn't quite connect correctly with the leg though and frankly, I blame the leg!

The leg (in concept) is really fun! It’s a bit glossier than your average ABS Plastic minifig limb, but in most lighting conditions, you can’t really tell. It’s also a fun tease for what Jaka’s Miles fig will be like (whenever that arrives / I can find time to review it)

The anti-stud connection is rather tight, possibly due to the glossy finish. You can really see there’s nothing to hide here. The texturing is decent, and you can see a peep of the white underlayer showing through under the red, right next to the logo. I also find it interesting that they didn’t print on the bottom of the foot.

Miles in the movie has red on the bottom of his boots, so why not here in this context? I wonder if Jaka couldn't print on the bottom of the feet for the Miles Morales fig and so this is a way to match with that fig's leg...?

(here I am spending more time reviewing a leg than I am an entire figure)

Ah well… it’s all about the little things!

I like this Spot fig!

It’s a fun simple fig! 👍🏻
