Boy am I lucky to have gotten these two figs!

With new brands on the scene, I tend to skip their first or second figure until I can see images in hand of the final product. It can be a little hard to justify preordering a $65 fig if I’ve never seen a brand's output before.

Compared to newcomers like Nostalgia Figs (that designed, printed, and photographed their figs) selling them without a preorder, CoreCustoms went the preorder route. So naturally I waited and watched from the shadows until they began to ship out to collectors. In the end, I missed out on the initial preorder run of Peter Parker figs.

But! After seeing proper non-rendered photographs, I knew I couldn’t pass this new brand up!

I was one of like ten buyers on Minibigs that managed to snag the final production run of Peter, plus their second fig Miles! It sold out within a few minutes! And ya know what? Ya KNOW WHY?!

Well get a load of this! Core Customs, like Nostalgia before them, are another subsidiary brand of Jaka (as it sorta says on the tin)

I’m finding it so impressive that Jaka has been pumping out such quality figs on their own time, and then filling the rest with fantastic figs from other designers! Makes me wonder just how deep the well goes for Jaka, seeing as how they’re just knocking out figs left right and center!

I’ve said it before, but we’re living in a prime age for custom figs and these two new spidey’s are no joke!

These two are CLEAN! It’s modern JakaBrick quality with a fresh designer at the helm and wow! What a pair of minifigures!

Out of the two, I think Miles is the standout fig! That double dark dark grey ink for his suit accents is so so so sharp! And those reds and whites! SO bright and crisp! Wow!

No shame against the Peter Parker fig as it too has clean print work, but Miles… oooohman there’s something about it that’s just too good! Simple, clean, crisp, cool (it's almost like I'm describing a beverage or something)

CoreCustoms really did a wonderful job capturing the likenesses of these two suits from Video Game into Plastic Figure form! While they both have nice wrap around print work (in most places) the wrap-around shoulders on the Peter fig look amazing!

The red and blue fig is also an interesting one to take a look at and compare to Christo’s old 2018 PS4 Spidey. It’s neat how Christo’s mambajamma preemo al dente print on that fig (that folks used to rave about) looks just pretty okay next to CoreFigs Spidey.

While there’s still some minor smudging around the toes of Core’s fig and technically  it's a slightly different suit, CoreCutsoms really holds a candle to Christo! And frankly… that’s wild! 👀

I do wish these figs had gone all the way with print on the sides of the torsos and what not. In Peter’s case, the red gets broken up a little by all that plain blue on his sides. Not that Core had to go all out like that (surely just skipping the side-torso printing is what kept the cost down so low), but it’s not an Andrew Cookston review without me wanting more somehow 🤷🏻‍♂️

All in all, these two are a monumentally impressive first entry from the new-comers! Great prices too at just $130 for the pair (including the extra heads and arms)!

I’m very excited to see what Core Customs will produce next! Here’s hoping for some more side-characters from the Sony Spider-Games! Perhaps fully damaged versions of these two? Or characters like Doc Ock, or Black Cat, or MJ, or Shocker or… well you get the idea :P

CoreCustoms! I want MORE!
