JinLite She-Hulk (Civilian Variant) (Patreon)

What’s that sound? Why I think it’s time for a b-b-b-bonus round!
You guessed it! It’s another She-Hulk fig! Woo! Not only that, but I paid for one fig and got two?! Yeah! As it says on the tin! This second smaller fig was a “free gift!” apparently. It’s got a slightly different color to the skin tone, and no included accessories, but still! An unsung JinCustoms win for the fans!
I wonder if the one with bright green hands was intended to be closer to that color and instead they just scrapped it? Woulda been nice to have gotten a fig like that, but the real deal here in hand comes a little short of that plastic color.
Honestly, I would have preferred a lime green variant if Jin was really committed to full-on color variants. These two are just a bit too similar in my eyes, but hey I’m not complaining! There’s always room to push the buttons of a concept!
Yet again, I wish the hair was dark green, not black. I kinda feel like a broken record here, but like come on, the hair was not that dark in the show!
I do find it kinda neat how the hair included here is a little more refined on the inside vs the last fig of Jin’s we took a look at. It’s much smoother than the initial run of that part. It's possibly sanded a little, and you can no longer see the “stepping” from 3D-Printing
Idk… little details man, that’s what I nerd out over!
The waist riser piece is neat! It works for what it’s intended to be, but I’m not that impressed with it, especially given how their other fig had the extended legs. In terms of a set or series of figs, I would have preferred Jin to have used the same technique for both, but that’s not the case I guess.
This fig also included shoes… but again slightly different from the other shoes. These shoes have more of a Clickits/Bellville sort of vibe. They’re not functional in any way. Just aesthetic. Literally just to hold as an accessories that begs the question… why give us shoes but not long legs? Shoes that don't even look like lego feet!
Maybe if you stretch your imagination a little, sure, but like, they really feel more akin to an Action Figure accessory than a Minifigure.
But hey, credit where credit is due! The concept of Jenifer Walters in her civilian clothes is something nobody else really tackled so far and I like it a lot! The design is simple, and other than the facial design, it’s a solid likeness to the source material :)
A quick headswap with Jaka’s headprint (that I’m slowly coming around on), leaves this fig looking pretty great!
As strange as it is to include a second fig that’s so extremely and subtly different, I’m not mad about it! For $100 (or in this case, $50ea!) it’s a steal! :)
