NarDec Update - December 2025 (Patreon)
Content
The end of 2025 is among usඞ and it has been a wild ride! Season 4 of Rotgrind began, exciting things in Kingmaker have developed, the Patreon has been reformed, and our lovely band of chucklefucks have journeyed across the 41st millennium once again. And I am here once again to inform all of you what developments are happening with NarDec! - ZoranTheWizard
Our December break starts now!
Just like every year, the crew will be taking a month break this December to enjoy the holidays and spend time with friends and family. Episodes we have in the pipeline will still be rolling out.
Eclectics Finale Merch Drop is LIVE!
To celebrate the finale of the Eclectics, we have several new items up on our merch store at NarrativeDeclaration.shop. These items will be live until the end of January 2026, so pick up these merch items before they’re gone forever! (We tried to find a way to do a Patreon discount sync, but their store doesn't have that functionality yet :( )
Wait, the Eclectics FINALE!?
Friends, we have an important announcement about The Eclectics.
After much discussion, we’ve decided that our last recorded episode will serve as the finale of the campaign. Our beloved Council of Arboria will be retiring to Greenholme, watching over the kingdom they helped shape.
Why is the campaign ending?
Recently, two of our cast members, Froggyloch and Maddikus, received new opportunities and chose to step away from the show. Their departure was unexpected, and after talking it through as a group, we realized that continuing Kingmaker without them wouldn’t feel right for the story, the table’s dynamics, or for you, our audience.
We did consider bringing in new players. There were several fantastic prospects who would’ve brought amazing energy to the table. But in the end, the group agreed that replacing core members mid-campaign would change the spirit of the story in a way that didn’t sit well with us.
Although the timing caught us by surprise, we genuinely wish Froggyloch and Maddikus the best in their future adventures. Opportunities arise in unexpected ways for all of us, and we hope their paths lead to wonderful things.
Eclectics has been a special campaign for everyone involved. The laughs, the chaos, the acquisition of Brandon, all of it was possible because of your support and engagement. While this chapter is closing, our passion for telling stories with all of you is only getting stronger.
We still have several episodes on the way that we have pre-recorded. We also need to be transparent about the state of the last few episodes.
Recording TTRPG Live-Play shows is an interesting business, and when some tech issues arise it’s like dealing with a disaster in a theater play. You laugh at it, roll with it, and continue on with the show. But our recording software OBS decided it’d be hilarious and crash mid recording on us twice without our notice. Once during an extremely hilarious battle, and another during our final fight with a long dreaded enemy.
This sucks, plain and simple to lose entire episodes, pivotal ones at that, due to a bug in the video codecs. And we dare not re-record the fights or moments as it’d feel scripted and unnatural. Our show is all improve and reactionary, so faking it would be a disservice to all of you and to the players.
So, what are we going to do about it?
I believe the campaign deserves a respectful and proper send off, so I’ll be commissioning Mikura, our animator, to animate the ending of the show. You guys deserve the best, so having a lovely custom animation to capstone such an amazing campaign is what you should get for supporting us for so long.
Episode 44 of Eclectics will be released this December, and the final two episodes will be released in January 2026. Give or take on the final episode, as Mikura will need to get the animation just right.
So when the time comes, I hope you’ll join us as we celebrate the finale and look forward to the new adventures on the horizon.
So what’s next?
The remaining crew of the Eclectics decided to do a palette cleanser and looked into doing Mutants & Masterminds. We want to do a fun short adventure with some roguish but lovable villains being oppressed by absolutely insane “super heroes.” More info about this will develop next year, so we hope you’ll tune in for our hilarious antics then!
Okay, but what else is in store?
At the end of the year, we usually have a big sit down meeting with the Rotgrind crew to review how we've done, as well as plan for future projects.
With the end of Kingmaker, a slot opened up for another Patreon exclusive show. From voting on various systems, there was an ecstatic desire from everyone to become villains in WH40K's Black Crusade TTRPG.
We hope you'll be excited as our band of chucklefucks harness the powers of chaos and bring ruin to the corpse emperor's designs!
The plan is to get the ball rolling with this campaign in March of 2026, with our recordings beginning in February 2026. It'll be distributed just the same we did with Kingmaker of recording weekly, releasing bi-weekly, and will not be streamed but pre-recorded.
So be sure to stay tuned to the Discord and this Patreon for future updates on this campaign once we're back from out December break!
What about the other planned campaigns?
To be 100% transparent about the other planned campaigns such as Season of Ghosts and early prospects of doing Starfinder2e , a lot of background obstacles came up.
I (zoran) have been treating several severe medical issues that have left me with extremely low energy, vomiting, and other issues. Lets say that we would of had other campaigns rolling right now if I wasn't getting my ass wooped. Thankfully I've been going to the doctors and have made great progress to get back on the road.
The players we had planned for some of the campaigns had to concentrate on other opportunities elsewhere. So needing a more stable set of players, we have put my campaigns on hold until we can find players able to commit to more than 3 sessions.
The TTRPG industry is in a biiiiiit of a pickle right now with the economic climate right now. So collaboration on TTRPG projects would be a huge undertaking. Causing some campaigns that were being talked about, to be shut down.
To summarize, stuff happens and we have to adjust and adapt to the changes that come our way. Usually when we make announcements it's because we are putting actual effort and money forward to make it happen. So to have these change on us definitely hurts, but that's show biz! (and we hates it!)
Once me and other players are squared away, expect more fun to be had.
What's coming into the far future?
With our forays back into Wrath & Glory, the 40K itch has definitely bitten our players once again. So much so that we needed to discuss the next big thing that's coming after Rotgrind. We discussed many systems to pour ourselves into. We talked about Starfinder2E, Lancer, Call of Cthulu, Mothership, and many more systems. But we still do not wish to abandon Tyne entirely, just get a short break from it.
We're planning on a side adventure set in our world of Tyne called "The Delvers." Where a group of Delvers from the guild are sent on various missions for rumored treasures and artifacts, and occasionally a hunt for dangerous foes! All while dealing with multiple parties vying for ownership of said treasures. Does it belong in a museum, or should it turn into gold for their pockets? All while avoiding the rot, political figures, rival delvers, and more.
But that adventure will be with another group. For the Rotgrind crew, interest needed to be built from the team, and a discussion of bringing back an old campaign sparked a lot of interest with us.
There will be more information as it develops, as many talks will need to be had, but we want to pre-plan a lot as Rotgrind takes up most of 2026. So I'll leave this image at the bottom of this post for now, and report back to you all once we have more information about it.
Once again, thank you for your continued support. You've made this year amazing, allowing us to pay our artists, editors, players, game masters, and others more for the amazing work they bring to the table. Without your support and the team's amazing skills, we wouldn't be here.
So thank you, and happy holidays!
See you then :)
