I have not been updating this comic as much I would like but here is some things I have done in between.

Trying to actually stay sober for a year now, only a few weeks into it and that is generally the hardest part. I have been some small diary comics on the side and I am not 100% sure what I am going to do with them, or if I have anything worth saying after a certain point. In the meantime however they helping me stay on track and I will try to get them all up on the patreon.

I applied for the creators for creators grant, I did not get it but it was a good exercise. This may be the next book I work on after this. Here are some sample pages, if you know what has happened in my life you can probably see where these autobio stories are going.

I do not want to be juggling a bunch of autobiographical stories at once, and maybe I need to be more concise like with the nib comic I did. That seemed to reach more people. I guess I am just not sure what I should be doing right now. I hope I can find time in the future just to make some funny stuff.

Also, check out my buddies who are doing a Jeff Goldblum zine, I have already made something for it:

Also, also. Here is some risographs I worked on recently to change things up. The bed on the lake in the forest is a place I daydream about when I want to fall asleep. The second one is just a pet peeve of mine when they don't let girls be tomboys during a makeover in a movie.

Anyway, I will figure it out eventually I think.

Good luck on the year-long sobriety! Your Twitter post one day on "three months sober" made me jealous--I wanted three months sober! So I abstained from New Years onwards and am now up to 5 months free. So maybe I can inspire/irritate you back ;) Some interesting alcoholic memoirs: "Drinking: A Love Story" by Caroline Knapp, "The Recovering" by Leslie Jamison, "Blackout" by Sarah Hepola. Wishing you the best with all your creative work!
