Veronique joins the Rugbyclub of Tulpendaal ladies team called The Ice Colts.
Of which her next door neighbour Harry Molengraaf seems to be the coach.

I'm guessing that's either that's how they all haze new team members or number 3 was vacant for a very good reason! Either way poor Veronique!

Well, the idea was that other girls who became a Number 3 didnt last long. ; ) I did some research on Rugby for this comic and the numbers 1, 2 and 3 have to work like Bulls in Rugby. Being the fronts of their teams and clash heads-on against the oposing team. So yeah, this position I felt would be the least likeable for little Veronique to start out at. Making her actions more funny that way.

From my research I noticed that the Number 8 is the most powerful player in the field - their best ACE. Hence Babs needed to have that spot, being more athletic than any of the other girls on the Ice Colts. To stop Babs, the other teams often go for her ass - literally... ; )) The Number 3 spot is for the real tough player, so I felt here it would be funniest to have a little short girl without any expiernce - like Veronique - make for some funny moment of comedy in future. She may be the daughter of Oscar she hasnt inherrited his size, but I would like to think, she may have a certain inner strength despit being short. ; )
