“Right, I’m off.” Ivana called, her steps echoing in the hall as she made her way to the door.

Nicole’s face broke into a half smile, leaning against the kitchen island as the tall beauty stepped into the room. Ivana’s billowy trousers and loose blouse gave her an almost ethereal presence. Her green eyes framed within an almost glowing set of white rimmed glasses. “Oooh, you look wonderful sweetie.” Resting her chin in one hand, Nicole raised an eyebrow. “I thought this was a simple test?” 

Ivana twirled to a stop. “No such thing Nicole.” She sang, reaching out and stealing a bite of Nicole’s toast. “But we’re hosting an investor today. I have to look my best.”

“You certainly do.” Nicole purred. “Just… be careful.”

“What do you mean?” Ivana said her eyes narrowing and darting awkwardly around the room.

Nicole stood up, and shrugged. “This project of yours is…unusual, you’ve never been this secretive. And frankly, you’re an open book. I know something is up.” She reached out, gently rubbing Ivana’s cheek. “Just… be careful.”

“Oh, you worry too much. This is a fantastic opportunity for me... For us.” She said, snatching up her backpack. “Trust me. And if you don’t… I’m sure I can make it up to you when I get home…Mistress.”

“Mmm. As if you had any say.” Nicole smirked. Ivana leaned down, kissing her on the cheek before spinning and strolling out the door. Nicole’s smirk faltered, listening as the door latched in place with a dull, heavy thud. It knocked something loose, falling like a lead weight into her stomach. It bored it’s way through her gut, taking her appetite with it. Dumping the plate into the rubbish, she began washing her hands.
