Tricked to Treat - Part 01 (Patreon)

"Ugh. What is wrong with this neighbourhood? You can't be serious."
Jenna, for her part, met this show of disdain with confusion. The shorter woman apparently guilty for the crime of answering the knock at her door.
"Excuse me?" Her tone already dripping with the rising tide of irritation. "Who are you, exactly?"
The taller woman furrowed her brow. "Ivana. I live three doors down. You don't even know who I am, Jenna?" The known name punctuating the woman's tone.
Jenna took a beat, her eyes tracing up and down her absurdly dressed neighbour. "Oh. Right." She said, only barely aware of who she was. "I guess the costume threw me off." A faint smirk creeping upon her lips. Ivana looked ridiculous. "Wait, are you... trick-or-treating?"
"Well, it is Halloween, silly. Where's your costume? Where's your decorations? I didn't spy a single pumpkin in your yard either."
Jenna couldn't believe this. She had just de-bra'ed and gotten into some comfy clothes and was preparing for a very relaxed Friday night. "Ivana, was it? Listen, I'm in my thirties. I'm a little big for Halloween."
Ivana's gaze narrowed. "This is sixth house I've been to, two weren't home, two were in costume and had some candy, and the other was just as drab as your little abode. That's hardly a passing grade."
"Wait, are you going around... You know what, I don't want to know. Good evening, Ivana..." Jenna was done with this weirdo.
"Since I'm feeling rather tricked right now, just give me some treats and I'll be on my way." Her words were spoken without a hint of jest.
Jenna didn't know whether to shout in anger or laugh in her face. "I don't have any candy, okay? Now can you get out of here?"
The costumed woman took a beat, sighing dramatically. "No costume. No decorations. No candy. All attitude. What shall we do about this...?"
Jenna's expression turned from stark irritation to confusion, as Ivana's green eyes seemed to drink in the shorter woman.
