Nathalie had always loved ghost stories, and through the years that blossomed into a genuine interest into all things ghosts- which naturally led her to discover the field of ghost hunting. Nowadays, she fancied herself an up-and-coming paranormal investigator; she had spent an embarrassing amount of money on all kinds of devices; an EMF meter, an AM/FM radio device or 'spirit box', an SLS camera, a thermographic camera. The works.

So, when she had learned of an abandoned home not far from the city, the aspiring paranormal investigator jumped at the chance. She drove there, arriving and performing her usual routine. She left her gear in the car, wanting to do a cursory scout of the building, but upon entry a strange and eerie noise whispered through the halls of this place - almost like a booming groan. Unsettled, but emboldened, she stalked through the strange and dark environment, spying some odd furniture strayed about. An odd plastic chair of pure pink, a huge sofa that was presumably a bean bag chair that looked like a stuff animal. Just what the hell was this place? Ever brave, Nathalie pushed towards the strange sound, seeing in the room ahead an odd metallic stool in the corner, a strange art piece of some circular mirror on the wall, a bizarre plastic cat sculpture and what looked like a guitar case on the ground. She also didn't remember the moon being so bright outside tonight...

But all of that was far from the strangest thing.

Her eyes went wide as something floated past the window, her jaw dropped, her heart raced. A full body apparition! She could hear its strange, mournful moans from beyond the window, and... each moan almost shook the room! The entire place was rumbling! Just how haunted was this house?! Nathalie was half-terrified, half-elated.

"H-Hello! If you're okay with me being here, can you give me a sign of some kind?" Her voice trembling.

Some weeks prior though...

Nathalie's friends were a little sceptical of her unique career choice. Particularly Ivana. One question often offered up by the brunette was, 'Well, if you think ghosts are real, what about elves, goblins or witches?' To which Nathalie always rolled her eyes - all of that stuff was made up, according to her. All Ivana could do that in that moment was smirk; she was a witch after all.

So, this Halloween Ivana decided to play a prank on her friend. She discovered the next abandoned home Nathalie was set to investigate and travelled there ahead of her friend and set a specific glyph on the entry to the home.

Of course, none of Nathalie's gear would detect the magical trap, and when Nathalie crossed the threshold, she would unknowingly be transported to Ivana's attic and into a doll house of hers that she had decorated with several items.

Naturally, Nathalie would also experience a staggering size reduction as part of the process, but she would be entirely unawares of the transformation.

Sitting beyond the tiny abode, Ivana heard Nathalie's determined yet quivering voice at the sight of the very real 'ghost'. On the outside, the relatively gigantic woman shook the table just a little bit more, barely able to contain her snickering as she tried to think of how to respond.

'Mischief Night' indeed.

Very nice! A little more lighthearted and mischievous than some of the other posts this month, but no less enjoyable! Absolutely loved the finger puppet and the more playful tone you struck with the story, atmosphere and outfits. I really like the attic setting as well and hope to see more of it, it's a really well put together set. Altogether a very fun set!
