"This was your idea, Alex."

Came the voice of the now much, much larger Xiang. She was right, which made Alex's dwindled predicament all the more amusing to her friends.

"I can't believe it landed on her again!" Came the stunned voice of the auburn-haired Katie.

"And it landed on the shrink function too. Again." Responded Xiang, her large form barely contained by her stretched attire.

"What are the chances!" exclaimed Katie.

"Literally fifty-fifty." Said Taryn with a grin, her lithe body almost entirely hidden by her seemingly oversized jumper.

Alex had finally had enough. "Would you all shut up!"

She occupied a fairly high place on the group's social totem pole but at her miniature size all her anger got in reply was further giggling.

"Wow, someone's gwumpy." Said Xiang, delighting in her newfound stature.

Alex was regretting this. She had been doing an internship at the same lab where Taryn worked as a junior researcher in the R&D labs. When the intern had discovered the lab had created a functioning size altering device, she absolutely had to try it. Of course, she had assumed that chance was on her side and her position as the shortest in the group would be at an end - however, their reimagined 'spin the bottle' had not gone in her favour.

Both her and Taryn had had to disrobe due to their dwindled frames, but Alex's luck was the worst by far.

"Just say the word and we can stop and put you to bed..." Came another chiding from Xiang.

"No! I'm not scared!"

"How much smaller are you gonna get?" Said Katie, quietly excited.

"Isn't your little sister really into dolls?" Taryn said, turning towards Xiang.

The very tall woman just wordlessly confirmed that. 

She laughe, but Taryn had to keep an eye on all of them. Restoring their sizes would be easy enough but she needed to make sure no one got any ideas about keeping this device for longer than a night. She had insisted on being the one who spins and handles it, but if the rest of the night went bad for her, that could be difficult. Alex was getting emotional; Xiang was enjoying her size almost too much and Katie seemed entranced by this machine's abilities.

Taryn pushed her anxieties from her mind - she was sure she could trust everyone here, right?
