Even with my eyes closed, I can tell the room is spinning. Groaning, wincing as the tissue in my neck feels like sandpaper scraping it’s way through my voicebox. Blinking, spots dance through my gaze as I roll onto my side. Vision clearing ever so slightly.A black field fills my gaze, dotted with pinks and whites. A chill washing over me as I shiver on the floor, fingers sinking into thick gnarled material I can’t quite place. “Wait… what? I was… in my office when…” My vision snaps into focus, the black field rolling and folding in on itself as the fabric collapses under its weight. Familiar and alien alike, the void surrounding me becomes terrifyingly clear.
